My tip for oblivion? Pick up every item you can that has a chameleon enchant. I was a small amount into the game before I managed to reach a passive 105% chameleon. I am now completely invisible, always. I can kill massive beasties simply by standing in front of them and punching them in the face, over, and over, and over.

... and they will never fight back, since they can't see me.

Do the mages guild stuff, so that you can enchant your own gear. Have a seperate set for invisibility and strength and magic. That way you can either be the world's greatest Thief, Mage or Warrior, any time you like.

Oh, and don't do what my friend did. When the assassins guild tries to recruit you, LET THEM. Don't kill their messenger, as the assassins guild section is one of the most fun ones in the game, and the most rewarding.

I'm suddenly aware I played that game too much.

Oblivion is a great game. It's just so damn long. I never really play the story line in the Elder Scrolls games because I love just running around and doing all the side stuff. In Marrowind I killed most every shop owners in one of the towns and I got freaking awesome armor, but I could never show up in that town cause I was wanted by all the guards.

Wow, I really want to play those games again.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

I wish I could have. I wish I could.

Then I had to kill a bunch of guards as I escaped. It was pretty bad. In the end I lost them by getting into some guy's house. Unfortunately I had to kill him.

Hells yeah! I've always wanted one of those. Getting to work would be so much easier every morning If I had one.

I really like Persona 3 also. Kinda pissed though that the prices on all the old Atlus RPG's on Amazon skyrocketed after it came out. I really like Devil Summoner Raido too.

I recently got Warhawk, GRAW2, Bully, Final Fantasy 9 (I play it on PSP) too, but my dang PS3 still hasn't caught up with the ship so I haven't been able to play those games yet. In the meantime I love my PS2 with lcd screen.

Oblivion has a learning curve? what?

you realise that the leveling system in that game actively prohibits you from meeting hostiles more than a level or two above or below you?

thats why at the beginning, you will see wolves, after a certain stage, wolves COMPLETLEY VANISH from the game world, its kinda silly.

Also, no matter where you go, you will never find a vampire lord or whatever in a dungeon untill you hit a threshold, and any vampires you do meet will be gimped so you can face them.

After you hit a certain level, all bandits, even in the early areas, will be wearing full silver or daedric armour, leather armour ceases to exist

once you realise this, its all a bit retarded.

fortunatley, there are lots of good mods that make the world slightly more fixed, allowing you, to for instance, go back and fight those early scumbags that game you trouble and mash them. something completley impossible in the default game, since going back to the early areas would see your enemies kitted out in DOOM EQUIPMENT.

Bioshock is frigging awesome by the way. oh god. play it on hard, if you are not WEAK!

Wow, power creep forcing an industrial revolution of sorts.

Battlefield 1942 is still good - or at least the mods are.
Silent Heroes every goddamn Tuesday at 20:00 CET for the past two years. Big Game this Friday.
Forgotten Hope whenever I feel like it.

Hearts of Iron 2 on occasion (creating alternate histories is fun. Nationalist China kicking Japan out of Korea, Axis USA, Expanding the ComIntern into Africa and South America... Most recently I've been drafting plans for an Axis Poland. Adolf can take France, I'll get Russia).

i know it gets a lot of hate, and there a lot of things to hate about it, but in terms of simple gameplay, BF2142 is frigging fantastic, particularly now that most of the bugs have been ironed out.

shame about the STUPID ADS.

god, i dont mind ads, when they make sense. they just dont. not ads for pepsi or nike in the POST APOCALYPTIC SETTING of 2142! (particularly when the end of the world happens about 70 years from now)

However, abandoning a historical setting allows them to make a game thats much more balanced and fair without breaking immersion, which is nice. no doomjets!

I've been playing WoW mainly.

However, I have some games I want to purchase, starting with the most current...

Starcraft 2: I can't WAIT for this game to finally be finished and released. I want to play it sooo bad. ;-; Hurry up Blizzard!

Sim Tower: An oldie, but a goodie. I can't seem to find a cheap version of it anywhere.

Lego Island: I used to play this game about 10 year ago and I seem to have lost it. It may be the best game EVER.

i've been playing Tomb Raider: Anniversary, i do so love how they've remade and reissued the best of the Tomb Raider games.

I want to play metroid prime 3, but i lack two things. A wii, and the game.

My girlfriend discovered we <3 katamari at the canada expo (thanks dawg) and so we bought that and she's been playing.

must... find... wii....

I've just been told that Spore has gone from "First quarter 2008" to "maybe Summer 2008".
