Most canned laughter was recorded back in the 60's and many of the people recorded are now dead, so next time you listen to Dharma and Greg, remember that you're listening to the laughter of death.

Hmmm. Since you put it that way, I like canned laughter now.

it wasn't american idol, it was last comic standing. Bret Butler was the other judge and she had an absoulte bitch fit on camera. The people her and Carrey voted to move on were the ones eliminated from the show. only episode I've ever watched, and the reason I'll never watch the show again.

That was it exactly. Last time I watched it too.

I'll still watch The Price is Right when I'm making lunch on a day off or when I'm home sick. There's still the chance that the producers will realize that the whole appeal of the show is the cheesiness (also angrily shouting things at the really dumb people when they make an unbelievably stupid guess in a game). I remember watching it as a kid and actually thinking I was watching re-runs from the 60s.

I'd also like to, what?, third my sad love for Mission Hill.

I just wonder if the really wild contestants loaded on caffiene and sugar will hug and squeeze the crap out of DC like they did with Bob Barker.

I just hope Carey will have the balls to tell a stupid moron playing 10 Chances to get his or her ass writing those numbers down.

I really like that they show all the episodes - you just never know when an episode you're watching was filmed except by the price of the new cars they inevitably have as a prize at least once a show.

I watched the Price is Right (as others, on sick days) and I never really got it. I mean, how the hell was anyone supposed to know how much stuff cost?

Later on I realized these people went shopping and had to pay for what they bought, unlike kids who just whine until their parents put what they want into the cart or tell them to stuff it.

I think Drew Carey could pull off 60's style. He should wear a tweed suit or something. It would be awesomely retro.

Or they should make it the other 60's style and bring in poor hippie college kids to do prices on microbrews, pot, and cup o' noodles.

They could totally go retro with it. I mean, Drew Carey = Buddy Holly. Remember how he stole the glasses from the R&R Hall of Fame?

I don't know, does the mating call of the humpback whale count as a name?

Oh no...now I'm remembering the yellow dog stogie, the bearded fella who jumped off the stairs and through the table, thinking the couch was still there, and the episode where the little brother became gangsta, and when Andy was hauled into the office to learn of his brothers misdeeds, she handed him a piece of paper with the cursive "Douchebag" written on it. Oh, and the hippy lady who was braindead.

God I miss that show. Almost as much as Clone High. :(

As far as The Price is Right goes....I don't feel the host makes or breaks the show. There was a guy before Barker, and now there's a guy after Barker. If they keep the show cheesy, or if they don't, people will watch because of the timeslot. Lunchtime, when making food, what better show to watch than the show where you yell at stupid people making stupid calls.

Also they have to keep Plink-o.

I just find Drew Carey a really strange fit. If he's constantly doing this game show, how will he find the time to do anything else?

They should just can the show. A lot of the shows that are on in the morning are just there to fill time until the good shows that people actually care about comes on around 3 or 4pm. Who really sits there wishing they could get a brand new coffee table?

A classic a lot of people really don't care about. The only reason it still exists is because if you got rid of The Price is Right all and the talk shows and all those other time fillers it would force people to be create new ideas and television shows to fill in its place, which people are too lazy to do.

They rather market the obsolete, in my opinion, in order to stay safe and comfortable. Give the people a reason to watch tv again. They've seen it all, and I think it's stuff like this that's making my generation go to the internet more for entertainment.

Price is Right is awesome, people who dislike it must have no souls.

And I would love a new coffee table to go with a dining room set.

And tons of people still watch it, tons of people go to tapings, it's still around because it's still popular.

Because it's awesome and only the soulless seek its demise. I would seriously watch the hiker game and the fake pachinko game all day long.

If the Price is Right went off air, it wouldn't be missed.
