Chasing the dream of changing my gender to what it should be.
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

Done those.

We live in hotspring areas, and it's not entirely overrated... but the prices to stay at the hotels near them are.

Try "goto naked hotsprings", like the ones that aren't resorts, that you have to hike 15 miles uphill in a snowstorm to get to. Been to one of those x_x;;;

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take you seriously.

...

See, the only things you really need to do before you are 30 are things that will not be fun at 30 or later. Things like eating different foods and drinks that would kill you at an older age. Thrill rides, scary movies, and dressing your age not your shoe size.

Like seriously, the older people get, the less self-conscious they become or something. Or maybe they just don't realize that if you don't dress your age, you won't get treated your age. I'm sure I can still pull off 18 since last year coworkers still throught I was 18. Hello, 26 here.

Points on the marrige and kids thing through. The maximum age for women and men is 30, after 30 the birth defects skyrocket and miscarries increase significant. Like if you really want kids, you should have them, but if you don't and change your mind, consider that fertility drops off rapidly.

On the flip side, having children in your 30's you are more likely to pick a better mate, since most of the 'oops' pregnancies by teens are caused by severe bad judgement. http://www.teenpregnancy.org/whycare/sowhat.asp

I just thought of a couple:

Go out to a fancy restaurant on a nice romantic date. One with candlelight, maybe. Ooh, and to be given flowers beforehand, when I didn't actually ask for them!

Go walking on the beach at sunset with someone special, then stay and watch the stars while listening to the ocean.

Or maybe to have a picnic under a big shady tree near a river on a nice sunny afternoon, and watch the sunset and the fireflies.

Die.

Also, changing your gender is not very easy and leads to insanity and suicide. It is generally recommended to go for the sex.

I'm pretty sure the underlying issue is a serious one and not for example, Dotty just being funny.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that 'changing gender' implies several acts from regularly and carefully acting like the other gender through hormone therapy through actual surgery and the like, and isn't related necessarily to any sexual desire, but instead to a deep seated feeling of a mismatch between your physical biology and your perception of yourself.

Where as, using the term 'sex' tends to give the whole thing a sexual bent, which frequently isn't related to the actual desire to change gender.

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"

In order to get a medical sex-change operation, you usually have to pass a psychological exam which demonstrates that yes, you really do need the surgery to keep on the right side from suicide, and that the person really is a transsexual, and not just something else. Usually, transsexual people know from a very, very early age that something isn't quite right.

Unfortunately, now there's websites where people have tips to trick the examiners, so people can get the surgery even if they may not be a true case. I think those are the ones that end up having the greatest problem because it was, in actuality, a spur of the moment decision.

The point sippan was making is this:

Sex is based on what lies between your legs.
Gender is based on what lies between your ears.

Here's a few I've actually done.

1. Write a novel. Good, bad, fiction, non-fiction, whatever.

2. Go on a roller coaster. Just in case you haven't yet.

3. Do some public speaking. Getting comfortable with it is useful.

Gone into detail many times but somethings been wrong since day one. I feel trapped in the wrong frame, so to speak. I have the name of a "brain-trainer" (Doctor/Examiner)in Halifax that I'm going to pursue once this seizure-stuff gets cleared up, or at the very least identified. Seems good, recommended to me by a person who went through the entire procedure herself.

I have a friend who is a trans-gender, so I've been going to them for advice on how to properly pursue this, and have my brain read, and examined, so I know it's definitely for me.

That's primarily what I meant before the age 30 thing. I'd like to pursue this, and see where I end up, be it as a female, or as a male who better understands herself.

....I didn't know about the evil websites to trick examiners though. That's...kinda creepy. I don't even WANT to know the issues that could stem from a cheat who decided "whoops! i fucked up!"

Yeah, it can really fuck people up. That's why they have the psych exams.

I guess something I'd like to do is go on a romantic trip abroad. Like a week in a foreign city with a girlfriend/fiancé. I've traveled the world and gone to a lot of places that people consider life goals, but always alone. Paris, London, Tokyo, etc.

I will be extremely thrilled if I finish my Ph.D before turning 30. It's not very likely, though, considering I took some time off after undergrad *and* I took some time off during undergrad. I'll probably be 27 before I even finish my MS.
