Currently work in Tactical Operations, organizing, tracking, monitoring mission and whatnot. Also used as a filler when a Gun Truck is short on people for missions. I also am set up as my company's sole computer support, which is good and bad, because I provide free support to people I sometimes don't like (I'd feel like a jerk charging for services over here) but good because I can then put this deployment as job experience on future resumes.
Back home I work as a computer/network tech, which is why I got transfered ou of a line platoon and into Operations in the first place.

Near senior in an art college, majoring in broadcast design.
This comic takes more time than classes, but it's too bad I can't major in comics (well I probably can, but yet I can't. I mean I can't.)
It's surprising to me that there's not more art students or people in the art field around here. It's a pretty varied bunch.

I like to call myself a freelance illustrator, because it sounds better than "unemployed", and it is technically true, since any money I might currently make will come exclusively from my illustrative work.
However, I'm now looking for a temporary day job. I need money faster and more steady than drawing pretty pictures will provide. In fact, this little bout of insomnia I'm having right now has found me filling out online applications to places like Office Depot. Wish me luck. I'm hoping for something lame and stupid and easy to quit in a few months.
That's when I go back to Yellowstone! Yay for working a crappy job in a spectacular place where I get to meet dozens of gorgeous women, most of whom are from faraway lands, and a few of whom are easy and/or desperate and/or undiscerning enough that even I get a shot at them. Plus, warehouse work is good for me, and I want to take better advantage of the park and beer this time.
Since I'm talking about it, here's a couple of pictures from my summer in Yellowstone.
Here's a picture of a Ukrainian girl named Jessica, from when we visited Norris Geyser Basin. She's standing at the Cistern Spring, I believe. No, she was neither easy, desperate, nor undiscerning. At least not as far as I was concerned. She was, however, very photogenic, and, like many beauties of Yellowsone, willing to let me take some snaps, a fact that I took much advantage of.

Here's a picture of the view from the road just outside Mammoth Hot Springs area, where I lived.

Security guard. Of course since I spend all my working hours drawing my comic, I see it as being paid to draw with a free art studio provided.

Daily Routine . . .
It's people like you who make my job all that much more fun.Mr. Caravaggio wrote:But during the night I reveal my true identity, LIBRARIAN MAN. He who can outrun a speading patron headed my way with the obvious intent of asking a question, he who can leap an unconcious homeless man in a single bound, he who can lift a set of reference books with one hand!
Right now, I work as a security officer at a college library. But I'm not just limited to walking around the building. I also program the PA system, administer the digital surveillance system (including making the monthly assignments for everyone), code the website, provide tech support, illustrate (and not for my comic), manage the part-time employees (including hiring and firing), set up events when campus facilities refuses and move furniture for administration.
And, for all that, you'd think I'd make enough to pay all my bills every month and then some.
Here we stand, here we fall; history don't care at all. Make the bed, light the light; Lady Mercy won't be home tonight.

I think right now the only profession I can claim to be part of is a professional alcoholic.
I *am* meant to be writing a novel for a publisher right now... and I've got a heap of fecking freelance work backed up the wazzoo... but I just... can't be bothered right now. In fact looking at it now I'm going to have to write 35,000 words in two weeks to hit the deadline that I lied about being able to reach. HA HA HA. THIS WILL NEVAR HAPPEN EVAR.
I'd like to think I'm my own worst enemy, if only because everyone else does such a crap job of it.
