It took me a few seconds to get it, 'cause I thought the page was just loading weird for some reason. Then I laughed very quietly for a sustained length of time, wondering if that particular problem even exists among the TVs made for this thankless generation of viewers...

You mean there really WAS such a thing as Vertical Hold? I thought that was just a horror story made up to scare us kids about the terrible past.

Funny thing is, I don't remember when TVs stopped having vertical hold knobs... I just remember we had a TV that had one, and then we had another TV that didn't have one.

Kauffman did do it, and the ads for "Man on the Moon" did it, but I'm still proud -- I mean that really looks like you need to whack your monitor. Tee hee! Whack whack!<P>------------------
