Half Life is Pretty Dang Kewl

Okay I know I'm way behind the times but I only just got a real computer not powered by mice and a cheese wheel recently. Anyhow I bought and installed Half Life this weekend (blame the late comics on this game). Like one long creepy Aliens flick. I've made it up to I think the top level of the installation - I finally found a HEV recharge wall unit and I was trying to make my way through a roomful of boxes and machine guns on tripods (those grenades come in handy) when I had to take a break for sleep.<P>Anyhow I'm not really much of a "gamer" and it's not really a theme of BDR but just thought I'd let my seven loyal readers know what I spent Sunday on...<P>------------------

</B><P>HalfLife still rocks. Although now that I've made the leap from Army Compound to Alien World I'm a little less impressed. It's still f)%@&ing hard but it's so much less realistic that it's less nailbiting.<P>I'm fighting the giant egg sack crab beast right now.

Ha! I finished Half Life - dang that was hard. Had to look at the walk through a couple of times. I'd love to try to play the multiplayer game but my "FPS" (frames per second or how jerky the screen looks I guess) is really low and I'm not sure why. I've got a good video card, a cable modem and a Pentium 500 ! Why oh why am I "lagging" so bad. <P>------------------
