I agree. I'm totally lost. What happened to the tree, among other things....

Okay, so I updated the comic a little to better display things, I think. The tree is still there, it just wasn't visible at first. The stump is where Pzamdriel had placed the dish with the potion in it.
See, the problem is that the area everyone's been in has changed from a sparcely vegitated rock shelf into a clearing completely surroinded by bushes and, one would assume, the rock wall and opening they came though in the first place. People are expected to not notice that the lay of the land looks nothing like that pictured in strip #364.

Well, I guess that, since I know everything that's going on, it seems I just don't know what's confusing. Everyone heads into the bushes, the squirrel looks behind at the stump, then follows them into the bushes.
There's no actual punchline because they were out of 'em at the corner store.
