I vote that Andrew is still controlling Shirk. No way his rolls could be that good (He caught a knife WITH HIS KNEES!). Plus Shirk's maniacal grin has not wavered (though we didn't see it when the knife was aimed at his nether regions).

My question is did all three of them fail their perception checks to notice that Shirk was acting a bit odd and thus... EVIL! OR do they lack the background knowledge to know that a general lack of pupils and fixed rictous grin are not good things! Either way, I don't think giving SHirk his weapons back was a good idea.
