In Memory: Angie's pet ferret, Timon

One of Angie's ferrets, Timon, passed away earlier today, and this, understandably, has caused her to become depressed. <:) I've known her for about... 4 years now, and while I never got to see the little guy in person for myself, I know how cute and playful ferrets can be, and I don't see how anyone could NOT love one... <:)<P>I wanted to drive the 350-some miles to her place to comfort her, but RL stuff is preventing that. Nothing is ever just a pet, I know that too. Those that would assume so greatly underestimate their greatest partners and allies in life. The animals you bond with are part of you and you just lose a piece of yourself when one passes away. I know that feeling all too well.<P>You have my condolensces Angie, Timon was no doubt greatly loved and valued. I have no doubt that you enriched his life as much as he did yours and that he enjoyed his life greatly. So there is nothing to feel sad about, nothing to feel guilty over. Just good memories, no?<P>I'm not too good at ... well, writing these kinds of things but I hope that came over right.

Hello Angie!<P>I think all of your fans know that a pet is never just a pet. Many of us (including me) grew up with a pet as a beloved member of the family. When I was young, we had a Boxer dog and he and I more or less grew up together. We were really close and it was really hard for me when he passed away. Even though he lived only about eigth years I think he had a good life in our family and he knew that we loved him very much, even on the day when we took him to the vet to have him put to sleep because he was so very ill and there was nothing that could be done for him.
Keep the memory of Timon alive and he will live on in your heart. That's the best advice I can give you.
