Fan Week

Thank you all for your approval... *l*
SpiritWolf> It's a nice way to avoid ANY drawing. You see, I can't draw. At all. Not even some poorly undernourished talent lurking underneath.
*L* What else could I do? Except for using clip art.
MAui> Well, if anyone can think of something you can. *L* I hope. And yeah, I know about Paint. I just figured Paint Shop Pro would be equally easy to use. Boy was I wrong. *L* What's with all the circles that never are QUITE there?
Oh, and for those not in the know, Onar = Arno.

My mind's automatic spellchecking picked that up, at first I thought it was a typo and afterwards, realized it wasn't. ;> So do I call you Onar or Arno? I kinda prefer Arno but only because it's what I'm most used to.
As for Paint Shop Pro {shudder}, I'd use MS Paint over that. MS Paint is actually fun {has seen a perfectly accurate Racer X drawn in MS Paint}.

I'm making a comic, or trying at least..I don't know when I'll be finished, as I have projects going back five year that might not be too soon. Most of my problem is I don't know how to not make it a 'cliffhanger' without going over the limit of strips. I'll get around to it in a year or three..

*LOL* Great comic Arno! I guess great minds think alike because I did a blackout comic too! Except I didn't put eyes in mine, so I had a LOT less hassle. Angie says she should just have one day for all the blackout comics. *l* Maybe she'll have enough for a blackout week!

Gem> Yeah, i had the same problem, i thought at first we could only have one, and it took me forever to come up with a one comic joke. *L* i have an idea for a longer one, but it would take at least a week. *L*

SpiritWolf> "Arno" will be just fine. "Onar" is simply MAui's nickname for me. she's got one for practically anyone, it's a miracle she can remember them all. Of course, if you want to call me "Onar"... ;)
As for Paint Shop Pro, if I ever do anything like that again I WILL use Paint. I figured that Paint was old and Paint Shop Pro was newer, so it might have some more usefull options. Needless to say, it had more options, but how does one USE them!? ;)
Dubble> *L* The triangle? What triangle? There's a triangle in there then? *l*
you call me Onar in your mind? *L*
Mel> Your comic is neat! So there! ;)
Gem> *L* So much to do in three panes, so little time, eh? I am willing to bet that this sort of thing is the comic-writer's greatest challenge.
Delphine> *lol* Fan Month / Blackout week... She'll never have to work again. *l* So in your comic they all have their eyes closed? ;)

Of course, if you don't want to call him Arno or Onar, "Pooky" works, too. ;)

Mel> Gee, I get to be eaten AND called silly names. Why, I feel at home here already. ;)
Gem> *L* Fear of crashing, eh? Never looked at it that way. I don't suppose statistics will help? Ypou'll never enter your own kitchen again after reading those numbers I would imagine. ;)
Delphine> *L* Well, you see, cats have these reflective eyes, you know? And the parrot, he, er... As a young parrot he was experimented on with radioactive materials... EIther that or he's a gargoyle and angry. ;)

Gem> I think what angie means by a "sunday" is a longer storyline, maybe also in color. not neccesarily more comics, but just one that may take 12 panels or so to get to the punchline? Hope i'm right. :P

Arno> No, I figure mine is just more realistic. After all, you can't really see people's eyes in the dark. Ok, so I was being lazy. I didn't relish the idea of trying to make eyes with the computer program.

I'm almost done with the layout..what makes up a Sunday strip by the way? Now I don't know if I'm going to be able to get to it till at least six years.(if you have a weak stomache, please turn away now, extrem belly aching) Got to christmas shop, wrap and everything way before christmas, cause I'm taking off to a friends house for Christmas. I have to go on a ~shudder~ plane! I think I'm going to be sick..Now, I don't have a fear of planes, flying or hieghts. I have a fear of crashing into the ground...So if I don't die from over work or the flight, I'll try to make my strip!(I told you to turn away, but would you listen, oh no...!)

Hey, just a question, when is fanweek going to be? Do you have enough to put a deadline on it?

Pooky... Sounds like something you'd call a teddy bear...
And yeah, when'll fan week start? When does Angie get a break from her busy schedule, hm?
[This message has been edited by Arno (edited 11-20-2000).]
