H.P. Lovecraft is a writer that imagined up some pretty damned scary alternate Universes if memory serves. His work inspired a game called DarkSeed, which you really never want to play ... unless you have one incredibly twisted mind.
Anyways, great stuff Angie! You have a fantastic sense of dynamic visualization. Having played a lot of 3D games and seen a lot of computer graphics based FMVs I've learned to appreciate an efficient roving camera and one that promotes visual freedom, rather than one that keeps you looking at the same thing all the time. Your zooms, pans and dramatic scenes were all very impressive, you had my imagination working overtime filling in the blanks.
I'm very impressed. Good job. No wonder you got such high marks on it, you really deserve it.

Hrm, the one is the only smiley I've ever seen that I like. ;> Most probably because it reminds me of the anime grins and they always make me laugh. Is it scary? Dunno, suppose it is. Then again, I think Aliens are cute so not much is scary to me ... except H.P. Lovecraft, his stuff scares the hell out of me - alternate biological mirror Universes, ugh. Anyways, I've gone way off topic (kind of a SpiritWolf trademark) again so I'll shut up now but I did have a reason to post ... Angie, I thought you were scanning and posting it? When? Where? ;> Have you already done so elsewhere? Are you talking about something else entirely?
... I feel chronologically displaced. ;p My fault for not posting in such a long time though I guess.

Ang> *L* now if we could put some of Bugs' wit and comedy and just plain interestingness into Mickey... ;)
Yes! nooit storyboard rocks. *L* and i'm not saying that because i'm partial to the subject matter. :P
Arno> *L* You talked to all of us over the mic before, and how many ppl do you think will hear this? ;)
[This message has been edited by Mel (edited 12-14-2000).]

Weird accents are good! Well, I have to say that because mine's probably the oddest of the lot. The English people I've talked to say it isn't English, not Welsh either or American. So I don't have a damned clue what it is. ;>
Anyways, I think Arno should do his own voice. There's always some sort of connection between a character and the real person if they are based off someone and when that's so it's just not right if the real person isn't doing the voice. Arno not doing his voice would be like Sean Connery doing the voice of Xanitos {snickers}.
This is all hearsay though since there's not going to be a DK movie, right? ;> Though maybe Ang could try her hand at animation for a short 10-15 minute DR episode or something and we could all pitch in with voices. I'd love to try that! If only ... ;>

I wonder what Mel's wondering too... Does it need to be recorded? If so, well, only a few more time till vacation, I suppose I could try... *L* Voice directed by Angie McClelland.
Going far far off topic for a moment, this has gotten me to wonder what Nooit exactly sounds like. I have some idea, but not a very solid one. Like how when Angie drew her picture of Nooit, only then the whole image solidified. *l* She did a great job on that.
Anyway, she'd better show that story board off in here too. It's not DR related, but it's Angie-related and she did a great job on it. :)
Dubble has some very, very good points. But I'd rather think that the stroy-Arno sounds less like a German comedy side-kick. Only Schwarzenegger can get away with a European accent. ;)
Mel also has a good point, not many people will hear it. But even then... Scary. *L* I can't act, even... And what's wrtong with Mickey, other than that he's made up of circles and comes from an era where rubber hose arms and legs were considered funny? ;)
SpiritWolf> Maybe you'd make a great Arno, depending on the accent! ;)
*lol* Sean Connery as Xanatos, that would be an interesting sound. He and Hudson could have so many interesting conversations.
Actually, I think Sean Connery was considered as a voice actor for some characters? I'm a bad fan, I no longer remember all these details. *L* Actually, but don't hold me for that, I believe they were thinking Goliath'd sound like that until Keith showed up at the auditions? *L*
Anyway, I'm getting carried away and further and further on topic, which was... Er... *l*

Personal opinion, but i think Connery would have made a kick-butt Macbeth. ;)

Actually I have a pretty definite idea of how I personally imagine Nooit sounding. But that's probly just me. He's Arno's character after all. Anyway I'd never be able to describe it beyond saing its very cute. And no way could I imitate it *L* ;)
Arno>I have good points? *L* Cool. You know I had to go check what I'd said but anyway ;)
And I like European accents. One of the few I can successfully imitate ;)
I thought you sounded fine in the Keebler soundfile! *L* But still...very scary even if, like Mel says only a few ppl hear it
Spirit>Well I don't know what accent I have either *L* Nor does anyone else. It started off as kiwi but got all changed with the moving ;)
Mel>*L* Hey yeah! I can sort of see that.. ;

You mean MacBeth wasn't done by Connery? It sure sounded like it and heck, the guy even looked like Sean in the sort of way that Xanitos looks like Johnny Frakes. Maybe they were just trying to convince all their viewers they had Connery on that role and well, they could've fooled me. ;>
As for doing doing you Arno -- well, whilst I am a bit of a mad thespian {cue dramatic music} (bad Sam and Max take, bad) and whilst I could probably imitate most birds between an Owl and a Pidgeotto, I still somehow doubt I could do a good Arno. Don't underestimate your own individuality.
Ugh, so Arno has a voice like a Keebler Elf too? That's what SoulKat told me I have. If ever there was a Sluggy Freelance film then we'd probably easily get roles as Black Ops Elves, though with a name like GrimeyDodo I doubt I'd be capable of acting or much else, other than pointing and laughing at myself and everyone else.
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 12-19-2000).]
