Brit-Flicks

I've recently watched Lock, Stock and two smoking Barrels for the twenty-third time. A few days later I watched The Italian Job. Then I got to thinking why Britain doesn't have a major film industry, I mean its rare for me to see a british film and think 'yeah, so what's the point?' and Hollywood (no offense, my new world chums) produces at least five films that I could happily sleep through each year.

Why is this, do you think?

"Don't be daft! you can't see the infinite, it's... infinite!"
"I HAVE."
"Ok then, what did it look like?"
"IT'S BLUE."
"It's black."
"IT'S BLUE."
"It's black!"

so here is the thing i have found that guy richy(sp) is a good exception to most of the rumors that britains make goofy movies. but the thing is hollywierd is going crazy people here seem to either want a movie that will break your brain from over thinking or something that numbs the brains. so i think if movies in general start coming up with more origanal story lines and better plotlines ithink the movie goers would be happier.

Yeah, I can agree with that. Still, I'd have thought that we'd do better in that respect for precisely the reasons you brought up, they usually have an original concept with a plot that is interesting but not over-complicated. Ho-hum, the vagaries of showbiz...
