I finally lucked out at the movies!

Welcome to Alaska, leave your stereotypes at the door and read the "breast" comic around!

I finally lucked out at the movies!

Postby CJBurgandy on Mon Dec 27, 2004 10:10 am

usually if a film says "Playing only in Select cities" Anchorage isn't on that list of cities.... but we finally lucked out. Phantom of the Opera is playing up here and not only that... it was so beautifully done. I never got to see the stage play, because when it was up here, My family would have never been able to afford a ticket to go.

and although I'm a lesbian, I have to say, the Phantom was much hotter than Rhaol, the hero. It's that scottish guy that was in TimeLine and Tomb Raiders 2.

And you know Christine was lusting for that disfigured hunk.

anyway, it was awsome... go see it if it's playing near you. go... now.

I loved the version that had the third Tenor in it... (*giggles*, can anyone remember his name. You know, the guy from the three tenors. Tall, bald and hansom with a voice.... *giggles*)

I never got to see the stage version of PhOtO either, but the above man toured with John Farnham for his 'main event' concert and they did a couple of the songs.

CJ! Why didn't you call and invite me to go too?

I SERIOUSLY want to go, and I'm pretty positive I'll never be able to get Cristian to go with me. :(

Wanna go again? :D

well at the time, it was a Mother daughter thing... but sure, I don't mind going again. It was truely awsome.

though looking at my ticket somewhat depressed me... when I was in high school, regular admision cost less than the matine on sunday did.

now a days, it's 5 for a matinee and 8 for a regular showing, but on saturdays, matinees end at 1, which since the theatres normally open at noon, really isn't a bargin at all. :-?

We to have Phantom of the Opera in SF. Usually we don't get select city films, since LA usually steals them away. Stupid LA...

<strike>i will not see said movie it doesnot interest me. id rather go see blade. yes yes you can call me an uncultured olf but you know that stoy never interested me. oh and to sway thoughts that i dont like classics that is untrue. i much rathe3r the star wars that wasnt touched to the new dvds that have been relesed though the dvds have helped curve my lack of star wars (4 through 6 the real ones). and i do like the debates that ensue. they are much fun and lead into other discutions.</strike>

Bah, what am I talking about... I have the guilty pleasure of actually enjoying the ballet, the nutcracker all too much. Something about men in leotards that just gets my blood boiling in a good way.
