Crossover?

Has it occurred to anyone but me to wonder WTF PeeJee and Mike from Something*Positive are doing at the AVN awards (see the 2/25 comic, frame 2)? They are behaving normally (normally for PeeJee and Mike, that is) but I can't imagine why they're at AVN at all.

I don't think that this is a true crossover. Many comics will have cameo characters from other strips. I've seen some cameo characters from S*P in Underpower, for instance. I think that this is because the S*P characters are fun and easily identifiable.

And I enjoy seeing how one artist draws another artist's characters.

It's not a true crossover. In fact Randy didn't know I was going to put Mike in - I didn't know myself until I actually drew it.

Also, that isn't PeeJee - it's just a random porn star that caught Mike peeping at her.

Of course, Choo Choo Bear HAS appeared in "Scandal Sheet!", at least technically - he's on the cover of the Comet in the strip that appeared just after the "Positively Scandalous" crossover. He may appear again - I don't know.

There will be a cat in the cast eventually. Andrea Campos, the woman at work that Max pines for, has a cat named Mariposa that will appear in the strip from time to time once that storyline gets going (which will probably be this summer).
