On the Thursday 8/8 comic, I could follow the story quite will. It was, however a *BIG* leap of faith that she could:
a) Flip a knife/athame onto the toe of her boot, and
b) Flip said knife/athame up to her (tied up) hands without putting out her eye or removing any other body parts.

Overall, I enjoy reading your comic.

True enough....

I originally envisioned a scene where she dangled from her wrists, grasped the athame between both feet, and jack-knifed her lower body up so that her feet were on the same level as her hands. It would then have been easy for her to grasp the knife.

But I chickened out when it was time to draw it.

However, if weird things have been happening to her for so long that she isn’t fazed by food coming to life, I figure she must have picked up some useful and unusual skills along the way.

Escapism obviously wasn’t one of them.

And although it hasn’t been mentioned yet (and probably won’t be for a while), when she was younger she collected shiny, sharp, and pointy things. So she knows her way around knives.
