I'm just a fourteen year old, webcomic addicted, pr0n loving boy, but I have a few suggestions for your site. It probably isn't my place to say so, but here they are-
- Advertise on other webcomic sites, for example Little Gamers, Megatokyo, or Mac Hall.
- Once you become a little more popular, sell ad space
- Get some forum admins. If you post it on the site, people will join just so that they might become an admin.
- Ditch the journal section and post rants directly under the comics. People are more likely to read them. Also, offer a friend rant space. People love that stuff
- An IRC channel would be good. Once again, post that you're giving out admin status, and they will come.
- Network in the webcomic community. THat was the key to MT's success
