Hey Sandra! No kicking Jerome! He's more delicate than he looks, so he's only good for hugging...
Remi, Jerome's not homophobic. It's just that he's annoyed with Brian. As was said in Tuesday's comic, Jerome was nice about it at first but after two years he's become a meaner person ... but only to Brian.
But of course that's how it is in the comic strip. It was a bit different in real life.
BTW, if anyone is wondering about the logo, it won't be changed as it won't be necesary. I know, I've said too much but it's ok with me...
------------------

I do wonder what Brian sees in Jerome... Rude homophobic insensitive Jerome seems pretty unsympathetic and unappealing to me.
I guess that's the mysteries of love...
but this storyline is sure interesting!

Hey Brian,
Whoops... That was me posting, not Remi. Remi's staying at my place and using my computer sometimes... didn't notice he'd logged into the forums last. I accidentally left a post labelled from Remi in another forum too, sigh.
Anyway, I'm just judging based on what I see in the strip, not the real-life inspiration (however loose or close it might be) of course. To me, Jerome is not a sympathetic character. He could be a lot worse, certainly; a lot of assholes in his position would have beat the crap out Brian long ago. And I agree it would get tiresome having someone obsessed with you for months/years if you didn't feel reciprocally and they weren't hearing/respecting that. But still. Jerome just doesn't seem to act nicely.
Ok enough psychoanalyzing comic characters.

------------------

Aw, well I need to draw more of the cute, fun to be around Jerome I know. Maybe I should just let Jerome take over the comic for a while because he's my favorite character. ^_^
------------------

i'm going to have to take issue with the whole "let him have him" argument...
i know it's a comic, and i know it's not tragic life, but at the same time: look at the x-files (or any other "artistic" medium, for that matter).. how compelled would we be to continue watching (reading, listening, whatever) if scully and mulder got together and did the wonky mambo on the screen? there'd be a hell of a lot less slash-lit...
getting what you want is an ending best left to film, not serialized expression such as a comic strip (or tv show)...
to quote real-life examples:
i've met straight boys and hit on them and narrowly escaped a major beating (thank you tai-chi, aikido, and watching all those saturday kung-fu theatre)--luck being the only thing that saved my scrawny gay ass...
and i've met straight boys who were down for a game of under-the-sheets (sober, or stoned/drunk), so long as we kept quiet (relatively) about it, or it was a one-time thing..
all sorts of experiences shape life, and i think that in a medium such as this, that art definitely should imitate the subject it takes up...
[/end 0.02]
------------------
