How'd you find us?

Postby Snocone on Tue Jul 11, 2000 12:49 am

My friend Kathryn emailed me "look, pooky, nancy has her own comic strip!" and a url to the "got brains?" strip. Been reading since.
Nancy is a recent girlfriend. Perhaps Kat was making some kind of point here. But being a guy and all, it's a bit too subtle for me to figure out.

Just out of curiosity...how'd y'all find out about JoBeth?
I got lucky - I happen to have known BJ (the artist, pronounced 'Beej') for about 15 years. I got a big envelope in the mail, and it had about 40 JoBeths in it. STILL one of the coolest things I've ever gotten through the postal system.
-Shannon

Wowsers! Someone "found out" about Living In Greytown? I usually have to cram it down their piehole before they ever look at it!
Anyway... I think I found JoBeth from Boxjam's Doodle.

Hey BoxJam--
Despite claims to the contrary, kissing up does work. In this case, I just can't figure out what it's working toward.
Read some of your archives. You're a genius. Liked the writhing road-stripies.
--BJ
I said "stripies".

------------------

Thanks for suggesting Livinging in Greytown, it was really, really neat! I read through the whole archive last night, and laughed or went 'Oh my God, i can't believe he did that!' at least every two or three strips. I like JoBeth, too (both are in my hand-dandy comix bookmark folder now).
------------------

I found JoBeth looking through the pages on Keenspace, read a few, and said "Kewl!"
Then today I added it to my links page. Prepare for an increase of maybe two measly visits a day....
------------------

Uhhhh, I know I found you guys pre-keenspace... but dammit if I can remember. I think you guys were linked from some other comic...
I'm guessing Bigpanda was at the root of it all. Damn them. Damn them all. Sucking my life away one comic at a time.
By the way, your "oldnews" link is dead.

------------------

Heh...I know the feeling, Tirdun - right now, I follow 20+ dailies, and 5-6 MWF. TOO MANY COMICS...but they're all so gooooood!
And thanks for the note on the link...I'm doing a rolling redesign on the site at the moment, and I missed that one. It's fixed, now.

My husband told me about it, after a particularly vicious round of bitching about a friend's completely *lack* of brain cells when it comes to 'net browser messages. Let this be a lesson: Anyone you set up with an internet connection will think you are their tech support for life. Sheese...
