Blanks come in three sizes.60 minutes, 74 minutes, and 80 minutes.74 minutes is the most common out there.
Coincidentally, the normal amount of music you can fit on a CD is 74 minutes.-Zodo

And Sony just debuted its new LP minidisc recorder; fit up to 5 hours and 20 minutes of music on one 80-minute MD!! YES!!! Though, I'm still trying to find if there's a loss in sound quality. Aww. Sounds like the last Mustang I had... After 4 accidents it really wasn't fit to drive.
