New Website Design!

Post by Boozeathon4billion »

I spent this past weekend rebuilding the site since I had gotten some complaints about it recently. It's up and running without any problems that I know of now, and as long as you aren't using an old version of IE, I think everything is lookin pretty sweet.

But before I finalize everything and finish the index page (by putting a news section back up and possibly putting another shoutbox in), I wanted some feedback!! Anything I should do differently? Any ideas you have that I should consider before pushing forward? Does something just not look right on your browser?

Any feedback helps. Thank you so much in advance.

Well, I think it really fits in with your comic. It's simple but great.

I like it, clean, crisp and centered. A few usability and visual tips if I may? :)

Lets start with adding a little space at the top between the 728 ad and your site, this is optional but will separate your site from ad. When going to click on your links at the top I found myself playing with a coin.
Speaking of your navigation on top, it would be wise to put in an a:hover color so that it is more distinguished as a clickable link. I found myself wondering if the beer cans lined up under the links were clickable as well.

I like it. Just a few tips, you don't have to take them or use them if you don't want.

PS. Works of FF3.

Thanks for all the feedback! I was meaning to drop the site down a bit and throw the hover on there soon... right now I haven't because the image which acts as the home link also has the color hover and it looks tacky. Once I work around it without messing up the CSS I'll do it asap. Thanks again and advice is always appreciated. :)

Very nice, I've been having trouble with my own site and am in need of a re-design. I especially like how you handled the bottom half. Very organized and easy to navigate. Great job :)
