Comic critique, ahoy!

My comic: "Liddell"

I think I finally have enough reasonably good content posted to make it worth asking for critique. I have about 45 comics posted, of which the first 21 are awful and the last 34 are passable.

I worry that my jokes aren't all that funny, or at least not consistently funny, and I'm not particularly happy with my characters' faces. I think Alice (the girl with the dark hairk, dark skin, and glasses) has a few too many faces, compared to Percy (the short guy with the cowlick), who looks pretty much the same in most drawings.

I really like Alice's new shirt, with the Panda on it, though I still think of her as wearing red more often than not.

I don't think Percy looks very good in green, but that's what he decided to wear for this latest story arc (except for the beach scenes).

I hope my characters all look reasonably attractive, especially during the current story (second half of Chapter 1 involves everyone at the beach), but I want to be careful and keep the art from exploiting the girls' appearances, since it's hard to do the same thing with the guys (especially Percy). And no, we won't be seeing Alan in a swimsuit anytime soon. I don't want to scar anyone.

Any ideas on anything are welcome. I assume I have to improve *something* if I want people to start reading my comic.[/url]

First off: You NEED navigation buttons. We can't navigate through your comics without them. Clicking on the calendar is awkward for navigation, made more so since the updates don't appear to be regular. There's no way to jump to the beginning of your comic and read through. A calendar archive page would be helpful.

If you can't make the buttons, just put the tags for now. Here are the navigation tags from the CGWiki

A separate page with the "big_calendar" tag (below the navigation ones) would also be helpful.

Thank you very much for your reponse! I appreciate it.

Okay, I've added navigation links.

I thought I had them before, but like my template files, they must have disappeared. Sorry about that.

At some point, I'm going to try making everything look nicer (images instead of links, etc.), though that's a little beyond my skills right now. With the navigation links, at least it's easy to read the comic.

Beware: The first comic is pretty ugly, as are most of them up until comic #21 in Chapter 1.
