I'd go with one of the manga eye styles. The cartoon eyes look sorta unnatural with the rest of the body the way you draw. That being said, I prefer the less sparky of the manga versions, but I have no good reason to back that preference up.

I'd go with the sparkly manga eyes, cause the sparkles are what you get in real eyes. I like sparkly eyes. ^_^

I'd go with sparkly...but with only one white sparkle spot. The only time you get multiple sparkle spots is where there are multiple light sources-- like a room with two or three lamps. Outside, there is usually only the sunshine, in a room there is only one lightbulb or window that does it. In weak light, there might only be one tiny little speck of light.

I've seen Manga eyes go absolutely goofy with light sparkles before and I thought them ....well....goofy.

hmm.. I like three the best, mainly because it looks like the eye that could be drawn most consistantly.
I'd shy away from the other two eyes because they look kind of well.. awkward.

manga. the cartoon eyes look zombierific. Plus the boy is sorta stereotyped manga, too.

I like the first set, as long as you (as americangothic said) only use one light spot.
note: any l337 used in the previous post was used ony to avoid the poster's Cybersitter. Image

More detail = better.

That is all I have to say on the matter.

I like the first set of eyes the best as well. As stated above, the sketchy outlines of faces seem to be done in the manga style, thus the non-manga eyes look rather odd (and zombified, like AVEM mentioned.) I think you can get away with the second set of eyes if you're drawing in more of a shounen style (usually heavier lines) rather than shoujo.
