Flash Inking

Post by BassZX »

I recently got flash which helps me smooth out my lines. Now I'm hearing, from people like the White Hydra guy, that I can even do my inking right in flash. How the heck do I do this cuz I saw his results and they were a lot better than what my pens can produce.

i also ink in flash on occasion, and what i do is this:

get sketches done either on paper or in PS. lower the opacity and save so it's faded, open up that file in flash, make a new layer, and ink ahead. the paintbrush is good at it's lowest size with pressure sensitivity, because i find the pencil tool too thin. Then I save that and add in text, borders etc somewhere else because i can't make flash agree with me enough to do it prettily.
lazy sput is lazy.

White Hydra guy... to the rescue!

First, scan and import your drawing (Just pencils will do)
Use the Line tool on Hairline width to plot out the edges of the pencilling.
Use the arrow to drag the lines to make curves.
Once you're finished outlining, close all gaps and fill in with colors.

Cool. I'll try that once the new keenspace comic uploading thingy is out of its big haze of uncertainty. No offense to you staff guys, I'm sure you're working on making it flawless. Its just very hard to determine when uploading a comic will work.

Thanks Van Douchebag. I still have one question though. Once I've selected the line tool, how do I change the width?

And Faub, the problems I was having seem to be gone so I'll just go about my uploading businessnessness.

EDIT:

Nevermind. I got it.
