Straight lines aren't the be-end all-end of panneling (sp?). Several comics I read have crooked or irregular lines and replacing them with straight squarish outlines would take something away from their charm. Experiment and see what fits you best. But I'll have to admit: an attempted but ultimately failed attempt at straight panel lines is one of the worst kind.
