If possible, I'd like you to tell me if the layout for my website is alright (if the logo works well, if it needs more work, if I shouldn't of done something, etc etc).

Another thing is: For the size of my comic, what sort of file size should I be looking at? I'm worried what I save it at now is too lossy.

The logo's good. It's a bit bulky, but it's not on the dailytemplate, so that won't be much of an issue.

The comic size is pretty good too. The smaller the comic is, compressionwise, the quicker it loads for people with slow connections. Quick loading is good. Personally, I see nothing blatantly wrong with the quality of the comic. Perhaps you should post a higher version of the comic in this thread, so we can compare, if you're really worried about it?

HOWEVER, your page looks a little empty yet. Perhaps it's that I'm not used to centering, or that I'm used to big complicated pages like this. Consider using tables to put some things (like your tagboard?) off to one side. Play around with format a bit to really make your site exceptional.

Solid job on the logo, links, and basic elements of your website. Very solid job. However, everything seems to be lost in a sea of...pearl...or whatever the color name is (it's like randomly guessing at a Crayola box

)...you might want to check out a color that makes everything stand out a bit more. For instance, using a black background with white-based foreground stuff. Stuff like that.

As for everything else, it's solid. Kudos on the site.

Blacksparrow: I guess it's not a massive loss on the quality, but I guess it's just me worrying about doing my comic for hours and losing shading or something. I was thinking about moving my cbox/tagboard thing to the side of my comic, but I wasn't quite sure.

Nomadic Phoenix: Grey? Haha. What I was thinking there when I did that was making it white but not "glare-in-your-eyes" sort of thing. Hmm, black backgrounds... I don't like them too much these days, as I end up getting blinded every time I switch to a lighter page. Is there any other colours you'd suggest? Also, thank you very much : D. It's appreciated.

I only see one little technical glitch - the images on your dailytemplate need to go "/images/whatever" not "images/whatever".

Other than that, the spartan layout looks good. I'll agree that the logo is too big - at 800x600 you can't even see the comic without scrolling. If you leave your navigation as text ("the first comic", "next comic" bla bla bla) i'd suggest adding more space between them.

The cbox bugs me, as it's a big chunk of green in an otherwise completely white layout. It's also very small - most people don't change the default width, and it's really annoying if it's all by its lonesome down there. Just change width="something" to width="somethingbigger"

Well, I didn't expect you to jump on the gray idea...just wanted to give an example.

Soo...suggestions...(this is easier to visualize if you have the Web Developer Toolbar addon for Firefox...you can just edit it right in the panel where it says "body: (background: #F2F2F2...) and it'll change on your site)...you could try something like any of these colors (These are HTML color codes.

):

Shades of Green
#35a135
#5ab05a
#2a622a
#75bf75

Shades of Green-Blue
#12a468
#4c9e7c

I'm sure there is more stuff you could do, but these are the ones that I saw and liked.

Now, you don't have to do greens or green-blues, but considering the colors you already have on your site, you could change that and leave pretty much everything else the way it is.

Nomadic Phoenix - I knew that addon would come in handy when I added it. I've tried them out-- the problem is, on my menu link images and on my logo image, you can see white pixels around them when the background colour changes =/.

I noticed that, unfortunately. However, what you could do with your images and whatnot is instead of setting them to an invisible background, set it to a background color that matches the color of your site. That'll get rid of the pixels and speed up loading time.
