Ok, just a couple of requests.......

Whats teh hawt factor?
Is she hawt.....really hawt.........i want to know

Also I want you to judge the coloring technique. Did i do a good job? How can I improve?

Any comments or advice would be great.

Hm... No. She's not really hawt. Kinda hawt, but not really hawt.

But then, for me, hawt is about not knowing you're hawt. Skimpy dresses actually decrease someone's hawt factor (that may also be because leaving stuff to the imagination is rather erotic).

It may help to fix her face a little. Her eyes seem a little pinched around the corners.

The hand is also kinda stumpy and turned at an odd angle.

Frankly, cristiano, I think you're trying too hard. Don't try to make a character based around society's idea of hawt. Make a character, and let their hawt come to you.

As for coloring: it's a good start. Be even bolder so that the darks really pop out, and you may want to use a smaller brush so we don't get those big round shadows. Shading is mostly about experimenting and figuring out stuff for yourself.

Yeah it's general very hard for me to draw eyes in Illustrator......

.....Yeah i had to get some girl to pose for me because of that......and what i came to find out is that the position that the characters arm looks unnatural and if the character were alive, she would be horrible uncomfortable.

I drew a new picture....but i'll have to post it later........ I think putting it in the Coloring Technique Sharing thread would be good, so i can see how other people color.

Not that hot...her head's to large in comparison to her body so she looks like a kid.

She means you have to know where the lines go and put them there without any sign of doubt. The lines you're using are unsure and often inaccurate.

She's pretty, but if you want hot, you have to have some confident but nonchalant tease thing going on.

i agree with duff. tease them.

also, you can't just go ready, set, HAWT! do some studies first. maybe go through pictures, and find out what you think is attractive, and then why? are her hips a ceritan way, does she have a certian facial expression? (how much cleavage is too much?).

well - I think its a matter of style

certain ways of drawing makes for more easily recognized hotness

I my self try to maintain a semi-naturalistic look on my comic, which I personally think brings much hotness to both my female and male characters.

This is more a stylistic comment than anything about that character but...

Is it just me, or are you doing this in MSPaint?

Line variation would help immensely, and it might help all those messy lines smooth out a little more. It looks like you're using a program where you have consistant brush sizes. My advice would be to ink this sort of thing by hand.

I don't think any drawn or computer generated image is hawt. It seems pretty silly to me to make that judgment on someone or something that doesn't exist.

I gather I'm in the minority though.

You drew the body pretty well, but the face... not so much.
I would reccomend drawing smaller noses. It gives female characters a more delicate touch.

Snoo: Hmm, I'm going to have to go with not. She doesn't look feminine enough. She needs more curves, and a more girly face. Smaller nose, and add some eyelashes. Also the eyes are too high. They should be halfway between the top of the head and the chin. So moving the eyes down and getting rid of some of the top line of the nose would be a start.

Also, the clothing isn't quite realistic enough. I'm thinking mainly of the way it falls around the breasts, but also the wrinkles at her sides. That sort of clothing awesomosity comes with practice, though, so don't worry about it too much.

I like that one alot better. Better clothing folds, cuter face, and I dig blonde chicks with glasses.

You covered up the fact that you're not good at drawing curves by putting her in a very loose sweater, and it works. She seems like a kind of shy sexy, which is cool.

Watch out on the hand though. It's too small. I think the arm is as well. But the important thing is there's improvement.

edit: Also, put a shadow under her. We can't have people floating around like this were some kind of cartoon.

Everytime I draw something, I make a concious effort to improve upon what I can already do, although in this case, a noticable portion of what you like is completely due to me drawing a different character. The likelyhood of Sam(the first one) putting on a skirt, let alone posing in it are right up there with the survival rate of ostriches at ground zero of Hiroshima. She's more likely to, depending upon how much she likes you:
A) Say, "No".
B)Disapear into the foliage, only to reapear behind you for the purposes of some crazy neck-cracking move one of her uncles taught her.

Whereas Sydney is a quiet and more or less friendly nerd, who can usually be put upon for various favors, and possibly might wear a skirt anyway.

So, I put her in the sweater, cause I need to practice clothing anyway, and tried to suggest curves with a little shading rather than declaring them on national tv with lines. And I didn't spend too much time on her hand or the supporting arm, as far as getting them right. They were sort of just there to allow the rest of the pose.
