I would applaud you out loud for this Lew, if you were able to hear it. So many times when I was at work, customers would ask for " no fat, low fat, less cream, little chocolate, not too big, etc etc." Over the years it seems people have forgotten that you go out to enjoy what you are eating, not just going out to fill up. The joys of sitting down with a group of friends and having a nice evening out, talking and catching up, sitting around having a few drinks, sharing a good meal.....all these things have just fallen away over the years and died off.

People do live in antiseptic little worlds, so fearful of living, so angry and overworked, stressed out and understimulated. Understimulated in the playful sense. Whens the last time you laughed out loud? Not just a giggle but a real belly laugh that left you with sore guts from positively laughing so hard that it hurts and no sound comes out? I speak from experience on this, I used to work so many hours, thats all I ever used to do.

Not because I wanted money....I didnt get alot as an apprentice, more...because I didnt know how else to spend my time. Money is essential, it pays the bills...but its not the be all and end all. Whats the point in a huge bank account when you are dead? Live comfortably, not excessively, work hard but play hard too...then take a rest day, just because.

Its exactly as you said in the quote from your dad Lew summed up: "Lifes a ride, enjoy it!"

the last time i laughed like that was when i first saw your sig and that was before christmas but to sort of put up an argument some people ask for less chocolate and things like that because they think if you feel good on the inside you'll be happy and looking good is really imporant and so is money to others in some ways i agree with what lewwy says and you struck but in a world where money is power its hard to get off that line

... I think you misunderstood what i said. I simply meant that people need to spend less time focusing solely on work and spend more time enjoying the world. Money is a necessity, unfortunately. Some have it, thers dont, some have it and dont want it. or want to use it to help someone else. It really has very little relevance to my actual point. One does not need to spend there entire life working towards some goal which in the end will elude them. Stop planning for the future and start living for the day your in, because you will never know when it will be the last one you will have. What is the point of life if you dont -live- it? aha thanks Lew. I agree with all the posts, even Master about the sig "stranger things have happened." I cacked myself laughing at that. The actual scene in Azu Manga Dai Oh she flings her shoe off and it lands on a passing truck. never to be seen again.

I have the first season of Azu Manga Dai Oh and I cannot watch it! dammit! I have seen that episode though, its such a whacky show and is so much fun! I laugh out loud at the zany antics of them all.

Theres only one thing I disagree with you on Lew, thats to stop planning for the future. To me, I believe that its important to set goals and have something to work towards, but, your other comment about start living is spot on. Set a goal, head towards it, but enjoy the road to get there.

I'm amazed at just how well I've been able to do that recently... a few months ago I was a wreck and forgot how to live. But now I'm doing great, skipping along that road!

I think I'm just permanently a wreck. ^_^ Or atleast certifiably insane. *giggle* No matter how i feel, it's been a long time since i thought "i'd be better off dead". Everyone knows i want to make something of myself and i'll do whatever it takes to get there. But it doesnt mean i'm not going to have fun along the way.
Oh, and just so everyone knows, struck is definately my favourite person in the world. Everyone should love him and worship him. Hope he enjoys them. *will add a link to the reason why struck is the best just as soon as he gets a photo taken.*

Lewwy, Im glad you liked your present.

Thanks guys for your kind words, stung my eyes and tugged at the heart strings. I miss everyone here, sometimes wish I could just reach out and hug you all.

You have all been hit by challenges, faced hard decisions and difficulties, had your ups and downs, dealt with self doubts..... but by God I am so proud of all of you! You each help to brighten my day when I see an email from you guys, I am honored when you ask me for guidance and I try to help as best I can....

Ive noticed how much you have all changed, grown and developed into stronger people, I am proud of you all and hope in my heart that you all follow your dreams and reach your goals.
