Yes, Kitty, that's it!! n_n See, you're gettin' it. ^___^ Although, there really are no concrete rules. And there are different levels of l33t speech. Erm, it's like how a person can talk in broken english, but still get the message across. You can substitute just about any character you want to for a regular letter or proper spelling, as long as it has some vague resemblance to the original.

Oh, when I first started trying to read l337, I just let my eyes de-focus and the words just sort of came together...it works, you know. ^_^

Precisely. |_337 is much easier to learn than Japanese, for example. Trust me, I know. It's actually quite easy, once you get used to it.
