ya, that is pretty cool. you should go to Cotres island. it's a teeny island about an hour and a half boat ride from Campbell River (on Vancouver Island) and it is so cute! all the houses are spaced out pretty good so there is no lights and you can see so many stars.....its awesome

I wanna travel somewhere. ;_; I'm trying to put together a case to convince my parents to let me try an exchange thingy with our school. I think having the life scared out of me by living in a different country so far from home would be a good experience. n.n

my bad... i would still like too go back too get anouther balloon hat, though.

and aelyn (i want to say alien for sum reason), where do you want to go? if you want to try to go to a place where you dont know the language, its alright. you'll eventually find some one with some english, and egxagerated boddy language is allways good too. ive been here in hong kong for only 4 days and ive already picked up on alot of the language.

other friends i know have lived in other places, like japan, and picked up on the languagfe in only 6mo... with no prior classes. p

and when trying to convice your parents, always try too iclude that it will help your cultrued knowledge, your character, and its an over all liveing experiance.

Yeah, the culture thing would be a good help, since I want to study anthropology. Actually travelling outside the country would be a good place to start. ^_^; Our school has agreements with certain universities, but there are only two or three that are general universities... like, there are business colleges in France for example, but I'm not studying business. And you have to be fluent in Mandarin to visit Taiwan. The only options I'd really have would be Iceland or Sweden, and I really want to go to Sweden for some reason, though either would be cool.

I want to go on a year long exchange to japan! my friends are going there for a month or so......meh no fair! But even if that is available, that would NEVER happen! my parents are too paranoid and over protected to let me go, they are even a afraid of me going outside, not that I blame them though, a lot of kidnappings lately.

and the fact that the ozone completely failed last yr and the angels will be attacking soon

*feels very unoriginal*

when i first stepped on to hong kong soil, i went up to the first asian lady and asked, "when are the angels going to attack?!"

she didnt know what i was talking about, but then again, its hong kong and not tokyo 3
