I had a Jewish kid in my highschool art class, he asked me if I sacrafice chickens.

I found a bumpersticker once that said "Born Again Pagan"

Science doesn't do much for me either, because it's limited to human experience, and it's always contradicting and rewriting itself. My high school science teacher put it best when he said, "There simply are no facts. Only theories. Nothing can be proven that can not in turn be disproven."

christian. i've always gone to a nondenominational church. its great, they dont force any specific theories on you. i sorta mix all aspects from all of the little christian sects to form my beliefs. i sorta decided to be nondenominational because my parents wanted be to choose a specific church to go to. My dad drags me off to a babtist church, that place was just weird. my mom takes me to a catholic church, and its my 2nd fav. cuz its pretty nice and i like the preacher cuz even he doesnt agree with all the aspects of the catholic church, like not using condoms and stuff. But they make you stand to long so it gets boring. I dont realy have a fav church to go to, its kinda tied with the catholic church i just mentioned and my friends babtist church (a different one than before) cuz every ones so nice there.
Now dont get me wrong cuz i'm just rambling on about christianity. i have nothing against non-christians. one of my friends is wiccan and she's really funny and can joke about every thing, even her own religion. So here's my view on things--- Leave everyone the hell alone and if they want to join a different religion, let them. dont push them to do something or not do something. they'll make their own decision.

o.O.... ok, done being serious *bounces off sprinkling candy corn and tootsie pops*
Heh heh...very funny. I don't believe in god and Jesus. Period end. People ask me why and I say "Where is heaven if it's not in the sky? Where is hell if it's not in the ground? Where is scientific proof that he exists? When you answer these questions, then I will have a reason to believe." I think it's pretty fair, show me there's something and I'll believe you...pull some crap out of your ass and call it gold and I won't.
Alright, I don't mean to be offensive here and I'm not trying to force anything on you, but quite frankly that's the point. Religion is nothing without faith, and scientifically you can't say there is no God until you can prove that there is no God. And until you have all the knowledge that there is to be had, which is also quite frankly never going to happen, then you can't go about disproving any religion. But then, no matter what someone's opinion or beliefs, if it's strong to begin with, chances are that nothing is going to change their mind. Agree to disagree, or whatever.

...I think I'm done now.

my god!!!(no pun intended)

this thread went from your sexuality, to family background, strait to religion!! This is the hardest derailement i have ever seen.

But im sorry to say that i will not partake in any religous conversation because they always end up with someone thinking that they are right (man that was subtle).

Plus, topics of religion, politics, and what twinkies really are are topics that everyine has something to say about, and well... i dont have all my brains coordination to talk about that stuff. Takes too much out of me, you know?

and also, Jibaku, you've quoted me twice in one post *wheeeeee!!*
i feel like such a forum whore now! must clean... feel dirty!

*pulls out an incredibally clean bar of soap in the shape of an elephant*

Damn! I only started this topic 'cause i was curious, and see where it leads us!
Sexuality and religion, it's like you can't talk about one without the other popping up (lol).

Brace yourselfs, here my view on this:

There are people who don't "believe" for different reasons: 'cause there's absolutlly no proove there is a god, 'cause they never had an experience which made them believe there's something more, or 'cause they don't need to believe in order to be happy or unhappy.
There are people who do "believe" for different reasons: 4cause there's no proove god doesn't exists, 'cause they experienced something in their live that made them believe, 'cause they need to believe there's someone watching over them, 'cause their raised that way,...etc

I say, believer or nonbeliever, it's not important.
What is important is the way you treat other people, and if you treat them good all the rest doesn't matter.

However i like to point out that most of the big religions were just lucky sects who grew big.....for the same we could still be worhshipping zeus and co...
And also, respect should come from both sides. If someone tells me that he/she believes i'm just ok with that, but when i say that i don't it almost always goes like "what? Why? What happend that you don't believe?".
If i would ask that when someone tells me he/she is religious, i would be considered to be a nonbeliever militant (lol).

One last thing, i would like that this dicusion stops, becouse discusions about religions almost always end up in a fight. Check history if you don't believe me.

Respect eachother and all will be well.

Dracoboy has spoken and wants a coocky now.

The foundation of pretty much every religion is that the believers of that religion are right and everyone else is wrong. It only becomes a bad thing when 1.) they try to prove that they are right, or 2.) they try to force their views on others.

So...blah. </religiousconversation>

Also, I don't like oatmeal raisin cookies. Snickerdoodles and oreos are good, though. o_o
