I'm sick of .gif format and it's limit of 256 colors. That's just not enough. A single blur effect and it suddenly becomes the crappiest looking comic ever. While working on the most recent comic I have tried everything to get around it screwing everything up and it won't do it. I hate making changes to the comic so it can get under 256 colors, I can't stand it anymore. So I'm considering going to a different format (most likely .jpg) The plus side is all the colors you could ever want. On the other hand, the filesize will be through the roof. Basically, I'd only do that for comics that I feel REALLY need more colors to look good.
I just thought I'd get your opinions on this, since I know how it is with dial-up, and I hate to make you wait an hour for a 5-panel comic.
By the way, if anyone has any other suggestions for keeping the filesize down, I'm open to suggestions.
Just to let you know, the comic may or may not be done by Monday. I might get to work on it Sunday, but I've still got a lot of work left to do.

Curse you, color limit!
yo modems suck but what else am I doin
I don't mind waitin for a jpg. I can wait for quality. I'm sure I'll consider the time well spent when it finally loads and I laugh my ass off.

I have the same problem with my comic, except in reverse. (it's a sprite comic) I use Jpegs because they only fuz my comic up slighty. Gifs have the crapiest colors ever. I to am curently looking for something to make my comic look non-fuzy without screwing up the colors. In oppinion of your comic, I can wait for the loading time.

Yo Xardion, as a note, png worked fine for me in Mozilla and IE in MacOS 10.2.1 I imagine no one else would have problems. The png is looking good too. Later yos.
