That would be incredibly kick ass. I'm having trouble not thinking about the kinds of attacks he might use... Full House, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Snake Eyes... Gambling characters are always the best. Of course, after this introductory battle, he'll probably have no uses at all, but that's besides the point.
Y'know, assuming he isn't just an NPC that occaisionally helps the heroes, like in Albert's oddessy...

Four of a kind? I dunno, maybe the next attack made does four times as much damage or it could be that the next attack, is repeated by all the other characters maybe... it creates four illusions giving the chance of your characters avoiding four attacks.
