Why didn't I realize this before? In this comic, Nick is killed. Therefore, the Nick in other comics must either be a robot or a Nick clone like in Spiderman. Also, what sort of gun is that that David is always carrying around?

No big deal. We're all robots these days.

*does something robot-like*

As for the gun? The answer is yer mom. Not really, I just felt like saying that. Then again, it isn't against the rules for Ian to just make up a gun. And stuff.

No, you see, Nick belongs to the same alien race that the weasely pawn-shop dealer from men in black belongs to. David has learned over the years to aim at the head of his friends, where his gun will do the least relative damage.

I can think of several people where shooting them in the head wouldn't actually damage them, but it has to do with the location of their brain, not regenerative capabilities of the head.

Maybe he wasn't killed, but just grieviously wounded, and suffered a long painful recovery, aided by cute nurses and hoardes of fans, and made a triumphant comeback that was excluded in Iancomix due to jealousy.

Or he's a robot. We love him anyway.

No, he's a walking, breathing, cartoon character in the flesh. He's said so himself. As a result, he can suffer near obliteration in one scene, and be perfectly fine in the next. It's just how these things work.

Well, maybe Nick has undergone an upgrade to the T-1000 model like Ian apparently did in the Valentine's Day comic.

Which means that Nick's a robot, since normal humans can't upgrade.

Wait...David carries a paintball gun around with him? Daft...

Maybe you're a robot and just don't know it...

Maybe he's actually an escaped lab expirement from the Sailor Moon universe, where he was severely wounded but nursed back to health by an evil villain. He was raised to have a hard head...because....stuff....Eventually one day he fell into a tub of Ice Cream and became SUPER FREEZY for a short amount of time. Of course, he fell over with a nose bleed once he saw Sailor Moons short skirt, in which case he was transported to our dimension by Sailor Pluto, after being bashed in the scull repeatedly by a gate key. He was raised by wild guppies, but then decided to live on his own. But an evil guppy capturer who killed his adopted guppy mother caught him and did weird guppy poacher expirements on him, causing him to turn into a giant beast, and to have a high endurance, which gave him really really tough skin

-takes a deep breath-

THERE! Now you know the WHOLE TRUE STORY!

They make hand-paintball guns now? I want one!! Those have to be illegal, but how FUN!

Well, I'd stick with the fact that comic characters don't die.

I'd stick with that too, except for the fact that they do. I mean, read the comic! Ian died, and they made him into a robot!

yeah they do. it's pretty cool. the guns even have blowback and spent shell ejection just like real guns.

Sounds cool, but you can't destroy someone's head with a paintball gun.

Maybe if it's fired REALLY close....Like....in the nostril of something.

Wait wait wait.... they force toy companies to paint the ends of toy guns orange so stupid cops don't shoot little kids, but they allow paintball handguns? Do they look signifigantly different than real handguns? And wouldn't it require different ammo?

Comic characters can die in serious comics. You know, the ones with plots? Except if they're the kind where even dead characters can be brought back with a convenient explanation whenever necessary ... those rock.
