Which part of it are you talking about? The male, female or neuter part?

From the Greek of course, necros meaning dead and philia, the verb, to fill."

*smirk* necro- meaning dead, philos meaning friend. After all, how is a girl supposed to fill a dead man? (apart from with whatever them taxidermists use...)

*sighs* Ah, the roots of words...how I love them.

*stamps her foot* I don't CARE what you say, Pauly said that philia was the verb to fill, and I'm going to believe HIM! *bursts into noisy little spoiled brat tears and flounces off*

Well...isn't that part of liking dead bodies? The smell and the squish?

Or...you could freeze them...

Crucify ? *rolls eyes* Archaic, but not exactly the best way to send a message to those who blasphemize about Pauly.

There's the death of 1000 cuts, rather Muslim style, but since we're in the general area of Muslims when you're talking about crucifixions, it's not too bad a way to kill somebody. Certainly, they both bleed to death after awhile, but with 1000 cuts death, you can always rub them in that deliciously painful salt bath. That, and people KNOW you were insulting them with that style. It's an insulting kinda death. You were such a lousy enemy that somebody had enough time to cut 1000 cuts into you and let you bleed to death. That sorta style.

And then there's the Bloody Eagle. More... Scandinavian, if I trace it back correctly enough. Y insicion upon the chest, then you proceed to open up the general rib-cage and spread the insides in the shape of a wing. You can actually watch the person's life leave their eyes with that one. Though, you gotta be quick. And it's a much more impressive message when it's on snow or clean concrete/pavement.
...
*shrugs* I've given this some thought.

What happens if you lose count? Is it then the "death of 499 and what I'm pretty sure was 500-odd cuts" or if you accidentally break skin twice on the backstroke of your final cut, giving your victim the 'death of... bugger, 1000 AND ONE cuts"

That's kinda cool. And coming from me, that's saying alot. You know I'm squeamish, but I like that execution style.

There was meant to be a systematic way of doing it. You slice the smaller nerve endings, then move up to the larger tendons.
*shrugs*
It's more or less death of 1000 cuts. Nearer to the 1000 side. It's not a death which is well documented. Unlike the Bloody Eagle. * WEG * Which even got across to the Oriental via word of mouth & experimentation through the Mongols.
