Hey all. I know this is completely kinda outta the blue n' stuff but I'm new here. Anyway, Lee I love your stuff!! Never have I seen such a gloriously dark comic. And your artwork is incredible too. I wanted to ask though, how do you do your artwork? I'm not asking for long held onto family secrets, but I was just wondering about your method because it looks very very nifty. Keep up the fantastic work. I'll be posting now and then so I'll see all you people around.

Thanks, Lenore! Great to have you around! <P>Unfortunately, I'm not as active on the message boards as I used to be... real life and all, you know. But I try to at least *read* what's here every few days, even if I don't have time to reply to everything.<P>That said, I'll soon be linking the site to my <A HREF="http://www.keenspot.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Chopping+Block&number=58&DaysPrune=60&LastLogin=" TARGET=_blank>new board</A>, and I assume this one will go away at some point. Lee, you're such a slacker. What happened to your how-I-do-it page?<P>The short version: he covers his paper with Saran wrap and cuts away pieces with an Exacto knife that aren't part of the drawing, and uses a piece of foam rubber to smear ink on the exposed paper. Then he cuts off the next bit of Saran wrap, and at some point he cuts his thumb or some other part of his hand to give it that Butch appeal. If his hand is hurting too much, he just sacrifices a chicken (or sometimes just a Wendy's chicken sandwich) to set the mood.<P>That, or he uses charcoal.<P>------------------
