NEWS: Sidwood to change format

Starting in the New Year, Sidwood will be undergoing a lot of subtle changes. First of all, the setting and focus of the strip will change from its current "slice-of-life" style to a more political format. As such, the characters will be transplanted from their current setting (Indianapolis, IN) to Washington, DC.

The characters will stay the same, but they will be given jobs. Mike is to become a reporter for a political rag newspaper, Ted is to become the janitor at the Capitol, and Jen will become a waitress at a deli. Rash will remain unemployed. I may also bring back Adlai Hempfeild as a lobbyist.

In addition to these format changes, the site will also be undergoing a total redesign. The new look will (hopefully) look a lot better, and be optimized for a wider range of screen resolutions.

Looking forward to the new, reformatted Sidwood. Would have been cool to have some filler until then, though.

Actually, now that you mention it, I probably should have done some filler. Oh well. Sidwood returns on Monday!

Answer:
Mike is a self-insert of the artist. Self-inserts get the best everything. I've been guilty of it myself. ^_^;

well i knew he is a self insert, and i know mikes a smart guy but... sidwood isnt the brightest crayon in the box

...getting back to the TOPIC, I'm pleased to announce that Sidwood is returning tomorrow. The rest of the site is still under construction, but it should all be up within a few days.
