Who else writes limericks?

Post by BJ »

All right, you're gonna hear a few limericks that Jackie wrote. Does anybody else out there have a few they've written (or would like to share)? My all time favorite was written by Edward Gorey, and from memory, it goes:

Each night Father fills me with dread
when he sits at the foot of my bed.
I don't mind that he speaks
in gibbers and squeaks,
but for seventeen years he's been dead.

You can find it in Amphigorey I or II, I forget which. Anybody else? And please, nothing overly vulgar--I know how limericks can get.
Here's to the worst times of my life.

There once was a girl named Jane
Who was quite murderously insane
She set out one day to kill
When she fell down a very steep hill
And never got up to kill again
Dessert! Cos you're just not FAT enough.

the ol' college try...

Eh, I was bored, and it's past one in the morning.

There once was a boy named Blaine
Who, compared to his twin, was quite plain
He went out with the sub
Retired the V-club
And his rep went down the drain

...and that would make sense if I had an online comic...bluuuuh...
"Kirei -- it's a word that can describe things from people to toilets."

Proof I have way too much time on my hands...
