Hey, Shannon...

Since some people have expressed a displeasure in the direction the forum has taken in its most recent posts, is there some way to jumble all the current ones into one thread, each original thread sectioned, label it 'Politics (You were warned!)' and open it up for posting? That way, we clear up the 'clutter' of new political posts cropping up everywhere (mine included) and make life easier on the easier-going fridger.

Note that I'm not trying to belittle the intellect in these threads. There's been, as Dennis has observed, a very heartening show of intellectual debate in some. I just think it would be better for it to be managed.

Is this possible? Hopefully, and if not...

I'm not sure if that's possible. I think, though, that one look will lodge the topic name in everyone's minds and they'll know in the future to avoid that topic.

Also, a few of us are trying to throw a lighter touch on a some of the threads.

What *I* think would be neat is if there were a way to save a big ol' text file of everybody's debates here and make a web page of it for the archives. Heavy reading, but very interesting.

Oh piffle. Ah well then, I know you're trying to throw a light touch on the subjects, and that'll definitely serve to derail any really 'serious' arguments (and by serious of course I mean bad). I notice the air tends to get hostile if, say, everyone's just sitting around waiting for the next person to speak...

Well, for me at least. I'm a terrible public speaker.

Look, ardvarks!
