Matt, Matt, Matt...
What have I told you about peyote on an empty stomach?
*sigh* Anyone got LOTR on video yet? This might take a while.

Better. Special edition on DVD!
You know, watching it through this second time, you're not so overwhelmed by some things, and you can really take the time so appreciate the absolutely beautiful scenery and meanings.
*sniff* Since I've been in a depressed mood today, it got me into tears...just enjoying the simple things.
I wanna live in the Shire! Waaah!

I didn't know there were other LOTR fans here (well, I never asked). They dont' make a big enough smiling smilie for how happy I am!
I am completely, utterly, and wholly obsessed with LOTR. I'm a movie convert (read the books after seeing FOTR), but I prefer the books to the movie. I am already hyped up about TTT.
In fact, my avatar is a drawing of Eowyn that I found and cropped down.
I saw it twice in theaters, and I have yet to rent it (we don't have a DVD player yet, and I'm going to get the November release).

Guys, hold your horses. I have it on pretty good authority that there will be a special edition DVD released in November with deleted scenes and etc. I'm gonna wait.

I'm an old timer. I've read the entire story more times than I can remember, including "The Silmarilion". Yes, the movie made a lot of changes. Still, they're valid changes for the medium and make good sense story-wise. I LOVED the movie. We rented it for the first time this past week and have already watched it twice. Have to agree with Llana, its a joy to watch, picking out the detail.
Of course, I'm _really_ psyched about TTT. Can't wait to see Treebeard. :D

Mm. I was told it's going to be a four-disc set. Fairly expensive, too.
And I don't need no stinkin' peyote. I'm high on LIFE! And human pineal glands mixed with the hallucinagetic extract from the deadly fugu fish. But mostly LIFE!

I've got the LotR DVD too- Mom grabbed it first day it was out. I tried reading the books before the movie was released, but put down The Two Towers when I was almost to the end and somehow never got around to picking it back up. I've been thinking I need to start over when I get a chance- it was kind of dull in places and I had a hard time visualising what the places looked like, but all the same it seemed like a good book.

Everyone knows that only the combined colors of the primary alkaseltzer men will save you from a burning omnibus.

I find it difficult to think of three as "several". As in three primary colors, that is. I work for a newspaper and I see it every day. Yellow, Cyan, Magenta. Thats it.
FWIW,

Thanks. Seems my _only_ drawing talent involves AutoCad.

Maybe that's why I admire comic artists so much. Pencil Envy.
