i know your pain...as of today, it's been 50 days since i last smoked a cigarette, and since i'm a college student and about 65% of the people here smoke, it's been....difficult.
anyway, you can do it! the first week is always the worst!

Thanks again, guys - the thread is indeed helping. :smile: The support from all of you, plus from my wife, my friends, and my family, seems to be giving me the strength I need to do this. I'm still 'clean' as of right now, so that's 10.5+ days - almost a record for me, at least since I started back in '91. The true record is 93 days, back in '96 (used the patch, worked for a while, stopped using it, succumbed to a borrowed cig, started right up again). When I break that - then the celebrations can begin. :grin:

Just a quick update - at 6pm CST tonight, I'll be BIBLICAL...forty days and forty nights without a cigarette. :smile: Getting closer to that record every day...
