Seriously. There is no way Brandi (Brandy?) could be in control if Chet is hitting her. Isn't it always like that? They won't leave because they 'love' the abusive person or they don't think it's a big deal? Any abuse is a big deal. BJ, I think you are doing a great job with this story arc.------------------
I am a star in my own universe, shining brightly, but when you put me next to everyone else, I look quite dim. Does anyone have any polish?

Yeah. My sister was in a similar relationship in high school. I mean, he didn't hit her or anything, but during their last year together, he became a total dick, putting her down and mentally abusing her, and she refused to break up with him because she was "in love with him", even though she was only 17 at the time and had no idea what love meant. Eventually, though, she figured it out on her own and left the dickweed.
What worries me is that she's starting to hang out with him again, because they happen to have the same friends. Which is partly the reason my parents want her to move to Virgina with us...------------------

I know a lot of people in relationships like that. I tend to think that their feelings about the person cloud their judgement and make them hope if they hold on, things will get better.------------------

Actually, I can't help wondering if Chet was the abusive type before he met Brandy. She seems like the type of person to drive a man to violence... (Gonna get flamed for this one, I know it.)

Ooh! I know! I know!That's actually Brandy, pretending to be Melissa trying to seduce Shannon, in order to make Chet jealous to get revenge for when Chet hits Brandy. She doesn't want to leave him, though, becauseA) He's rich
B) He's... um... "very manly"
C) He actually puts up with her
D) None of the Above
E) All of the AboveWe've already ruled out love, because Brandy has semi-admitted to her sister Melissa that Brandy doesn't really love Chet, when Melissa made a backhand comment about Brandy not knowing about love, to which Brandy replied "Touche".Now if all that I've theorized does happen, all sorts of ramifications could result, like Victor being inspired by seeing Shannon score with Brandy (who is pretending to be Melissa), gets the nerve up to ask out Jackie, and they hit it off. Meanwhile, Shannon finds out about the ruse, and runs to Ada for advice, just as Caryn comes to visit, and gets involved in a weird three-way thing involving lime jello, and the Pig crawling all over everybody, and the Alka-Selzter Man looking in the window. Hentai loosely translates to "pervert" but in North America, it's mainly anime porn.Doujinishi is basically a manga (anime book) that is about a real (professional, commercial) anime but written/drawn buy a fan.-Caster
