Actually, not new, just new to the board. I have a question that I've been dying to ask... What's up with Gin's hair? Why is it white?

Hey, it's PURPLE, boyo. I'm willing to bet an electrical socket and some 80's-era hair dye had something to do with it.<P>------------------

(jobeth voice) Hel-LO, it's LAVENDAR, okay? (/jobeth voice)<P>Joey asked me what's up with that. Maybe it's the manga influence peeking thru--from the get-go, I just imagined Gin with light purple hair. She's the only JF character with non-realistic hair colour.<P>Maybe it's dye. Maybe it's something in her diet or in her genes. What it boils down to is that I'm not too imaginative with colour, and having everybody blonde/brunette/redhead wouldn't be any fun.<P>It's white in black and white just because it's so light. For the print comics, I've started adding a 15% screen to give it a little bit of a shade. Nobody really notices.<P>------------------

I had Ada pictured in my mind's eye as a platinum Blonde. Might have been the influence of the white in the way the strips normally are. I suppose, though, that yellow is an easier color to arrange with Photoshop. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"><P>-Zodo

You might be--I dunno! I just grabbed a blonde-y yellow off the palette and used it; I really didn't think about it at all.<P>So I suppose the Zen argument would be that my yellow is right, and yours is also right.<P>Joey was thinking a paler yellow as well. Maybe I'm just attracted to bright colours.<P>------------------
