(went to post this last night, but the BB wasn't working)

I saw a commercial on TV last night that is a sure sign of the apocalypse.

It was an ad for Blockbuster Video. It has a pet store across the street from Blockbuster, and in the window is a Rabbit and an EVIL GUINEA PIG! They blah blah about blockbuster for a few seconds, then the EVIL PIG starts dancing all of a sudden to "Maniac".

It gets worse! He starts shaking his flabby little butt around, causing the Rabbit to cover his eyes, justifiably so. The end of the commercial shows the two from behind, with the Rabbit trying to shake his tail, and the Guinea Pig (EVIL!) shaking his booty, yelling, "Come on, Shake what your mother gave ya!"

AAIIIIIEEEEE!!!!

I SAW that one! They ran it during the Super Bowl, and Joey and I almost DIED. See? We're not the only ones who know the EVIL of guinea pigs!!

*shudder*

I don't know which is worse...
That the pigs are now recruiting for their evil plans...
Or that they have the gall to be so open about it!

Saw that this week with a friend and we got into a discussion. We both agreed that the rabbit is voiced by James Woods (or someone trying to sound just like him) but we couldn't agree on the voice of the pig.

Any ideas? (after it came on a second time my idea of John Ratzenberg was tossed out the window.)

The pig sounds like the guy who played Norm on Cheers. (I forget his name though)

George Wendt. Nah, he sounds more like John Ratzenberger, who played Cliff.

See, I couldn't place the rabbit's voice but I nailed the pig's right away; Jim Belushi.

I wonder what kind of intellectual discussions are going on elsewhere on the Internet?

Hey, I brought this up a week ago and nobody responded. I see, I'm just not loved. Ok, done whining now.

Heh...careful, Pyro - you now live within driving distance of myself, BJ, & Joey. If we get too terribly bored, we might just decide to provide more attention than you can handle.

Erm...Shannon, is that really what you meant? Something about this just doesn't sound...kosher. It could be the wink.

I'd like to thank you all. I originally thought that thing in the Blockbuster commercial was a hamster... now I can't watch the commercial without saying "evil" after every line >_<
