I miss the comic

Eh.

Anyone putting out comics, art, or any other creative media on the internet is doing a service, as far as I'm concerned. From what I understand, BJ is working on a few projects, and I'm sure he's juggling priorities.

Whateva you're out there doing, BJ, I hope you do keep interest in this comic of yours. It's good; real good.

For what it's worth, the guys are right about doing a few comics at once, or at least that's always worked for me.

Kudos.

I understand that putting up webcomics is a public service.

But in this instance, ranting about the lack of regular postings is ALSO a public service. Specificly, it is a service that BJ requested on the first page of this thread.

And I wasn't aware that BJ had any other irons in the fire at this time. Catball and Clowngirl updates when it updates. Jobeth is dead. Last I heard the Anime Tentacle Girls were just notional. BJ has to work to put food on the table, but I don't recall mention of any other projects. So either my memory is poor, or you're privy to information that isn't publicly available. I will not despute allegations that my memory is poor, unless they come from my wife.

I'd hope it goes without saying that we do apreciate everything BJ does for our entertainment. But as the good Doc says this is a nitpickin' thread and as long as it helps we'll keep on doing it.

AND ENJOY IT! :D :P

Thanks for the buggin, guys. I totally agree--ranting about my lack of updates is a public service, and at least you all are doing it on a regular basis.

The one thing that's taken precedence over JF lately is a short story I've been writing on and off for years, mostly to prove I could get it to work. Once I've tweaked it a bit (my friend Pat says it could use a better payoff at the end) I'll try to figure out a way to post it for your enjoyment and critique. It's only fair.

In the meantime, I've been getting that drawin' bug, so what would you rather see? Jackie and Ada at home discussing one of Jackie's hobbies, or Lou and Bippy confronting the owner of the Richmond Kitchen?

And there will be a few more Catball comics soon.
Here's to the worst times of my life.

Too hard to decide.

How 'bout Jackie and Ada discussing Jackie's hobbies at the Bitchin' Kitchen while Lou and Bippy enlist the services of Catball and Clowngirl to aid them in their epic showdown with the owner. That way you can kill three birds with one stone.

Well... Maybe not. But it would still be kinda cool.

Well, if you subscribe to the Howard Taylor school of Buffer Fu, those are the steps, but instead of writing one strip at a time, you write a whole week (or story arc) at a time. Of course, Howard updates every day, and does triple sized strips on Sunday. And he's been at it longer.

Doc[/quote]

Maybe thats what we should do, convince Howard to start up a weekend retreat or week retreat for WebComic Artist/Writers on how to improve thier "Buffer Fu".

I'd have to say Jackie and Ada, as I've been itching for a JackieRant for a while now.

Hey BJ, how was your camping trip? How are you feeling?

If BJ doesn't get another comic up soon, I swear, I will do another guest strip, and nobody wants that.

Well now BJ seems to be immune to the flaming abuse and is settling back down into complacency.

Perhaps we need to think of newer, more effective (more EViL ) ways to make BJ's life interesting between comics.

Any ideas?

So....is BJ okay? :( He has fan art to put up! (along with the 'I hope he's okay' stuff, you know...) Maybe I'm just paranoid...

It's been over a month since the last update.

How long does the strip have to go without updates before it's officially dead?

Ok, I've got the catapult ready. What should I launch at BJ- citrus or old people (since I am in Florida :))?

Actually, I think it takes a while for it to be officially dead, since Jackie's Fridge is way over 90 days old. After 3 months of inaction it's on official hiatus then a bit more time before it's croaked. Of course, I could be wrong... :-?
