Would it be bad of me......
To post Go Colts over here, just to keep this forum alive? I'm bored, I don't want to be at work this morning, I need something to keep me amused.

Hockey? What's that?Ed Festus wrote:I'd like to be able to say Go Canucks!!! But as you may know, there's no hockey right now.

Yeah. I was really hoping to catch a Lightning game this year. I guess this means they get to hold onto the Cup a little while longer.

Actually they do have to give the cup itself back to it's home at the Hockey Hall Of Fame in Toronto.
All the players (and other big-wigs) on the winning team get the Cup for three days. During that time there have been some very interesting things done with the cup. One time Mark Messier left it at a strip club for the entire duration, and another time it spent the days at the bottom of one player's pool.
I'd hate to be the cup's gaurdian during that time. All you could do is sit at home and try not to think about what could possibly be going on with it.
I don't know about in the United States, but up here the Cup is a honoured memento, a cup that is second only to the Holy Grail in veneration. Hockey player or fan, so many of us dream of the oppurtunity to hoist the cup or even drink beer from it.
Should something ever happen to it, it would be a dark day for us. Just like everytime an American team wins it,
Kidding... Most of the players on American teams are Canadian anyways.
