I KNEW you had a GBLT character somewhere up those sleeves of yours! She kicks ass. Reminds me of certain foxes I might mention.

The only qualm I have with the current plot is that if Jackie's never met McKinnon before, and hasn't even heard of her (When you hear about someone who takes bites out of cans and acts like Caryn does, you sure as shoemaker remember them), how in the blazes did McKinnon become attreacted to Our Heroine? Has PsychoBlonde (the fictional one) been stalking Jackie? While I have no doubt that BJ'll handle this plot with his usual panache, it felt a little bit like "And now, the lesbian character appears!", if that makes any sense.
Wow! I *just* realized that the Fridgeketeers have only three fingers plus thumb! How in the blazes do you miss a thing like that?
------------------

Caryn's exploits are probably only known in her neck of the woods--there are two companies which share the same office building: Oswald & Traska (where Jackie works) and The Bronn Corporation (where Caryn works).
Caryn will explain (a little) next week how she knows about Jackie. Basically, they work the same shift in the same building, but for two different companies, so they never work with each other at all. Jackie, being herself, doesn't pay a lot of attention to the people around her. Caryn, also being herself, does. More next week in the strip.
------------------

Hm. If Caryn were part of the group going to the beach in that story I haven't written yet....
Zodo: It wasn't a "Zodo Fetch" statement, I was just saying I've messed up. ...impressive work, though.
Imp: Hm. That means nobody in Japan would like JF because it would creep them out on some level.
Everybody: Thanks for the support on my characterisation. I am trying.
Zodo: (again) That's pretty much it--a couple friends have come out, and that's my response. They're the same people I've always known, and I'm not interested in the sex lives of ANY of my friends.
PsychoBlonde: Congratulations on having a cool mom. Got one of those myself. And you are hot--I just hope I can keep drawing you that way. Point of fact: Caryn's skirt is above the knee (actually a bit short for office dress) and Jackie's is below. And I'm SICK of drawing that turtleneck.
I'll try to show Caryn's legs if I get the chance, but remember, I don't really like drawing legs. Dunno why.
------------------

So if you're sick of the turtleneck, have Caryn say "Gosh it's hot" and casually take it off.
-Zodo

I'm beginning to think you people like making me do this... Go fetch, Zodo!
Here (maybe), Here, and Here.
Some time ago, I saw a biography of Walt Disney, and someone who interviewed him back when he started had asked why he drew his mouse with only three fingers... Walt's reply was that three fingers are easier to draw.
-Zodo

That four digit hand messed up my boyfriend. The Jackie's Fridge characters are drawn in a manga/anime style, but no Japanese comic character would ever have 4 digits per hand (except maybe yakuza) because 4 is an unlucky number. One of the words for four is a homonym for the word death.
But I enjoy messing with my boyfriend's mind.
--Imp
one, two, three, DEATH, five

Actually, swerving back to the topic of this forum, I really don't like seeing people pigeonholed. I don't see PsychoBlonde as the GBLT character, or Ada as the black character, or Melissa as the blind character.
I see them as people with individual personalities, with various distinguishing traits and quirks.
I really though Jackie's reaction today was cool. That's the way I reacted when a friend of mine came out. I even said the same exact thing... "Okay." The world didn't change on me because he admitted that he was gay. I just knew something new about him.
I think that might be one reason people like your characters so much, BJ, because they are personalities, and not caricatures.
-Zodo

I can't wait to see more of McKinnon's personality. So far she's demonstrated wit, charm, and verbal light-footedness.
All traits I admire vastly.

Darn right she's a hottie. =)
As far as seeing her legs, you DID get to see them a little bit, here (well, a knee), here, here, here, and here. =)
Now, admittedly, they're just teasing little glimpses of leg, but hey... =)
Course, I wouldn't mind seeing the JF-Caryn in a bikini either. See BJ's take on it. =)
(Is that narcissism?)
-PsychoBlonde

I'm a sucker for tomboys. And I must say, Joey looks fantastic in the semi-dressy, jaunty stuff.
