I had to use Internet Exploder (sic) but I did manage to finally read the strip. Thanks for the tip. Something's funky with the scripting because when I did a View Source in Netscapt it only contained very basic info. Most of it didn't get transferred.Please tell me you (or Shannon) don't use Front Page.

Ok, here's the deal, folks. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">1) You can't blame the issues that happened that day on FrontPage 2000. The problem with the pages was: I uploaded the pages over a crappy connection, and it cut them off partway through, and I didn't notice (for obvious reasons) until it was too late. I fixed them as soon as I could, and they should be viewable in both IE and NS.2) I once did use NotePad to do an entire site...page total came to about 90 (it was a comic site showcasing my then-GF's art), all done in NotePad. Drove me nuts. So now I use FrontPage 2000, but I go out of my way to make sure that the app doesn't stick any IE-only tags in there, so pages should remain viewable in both IE and NS. And John, you ARE a masochist. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">3) I've had the 'background only' thing happen to me a few times in the past week, IN IE5, and I've tracked it down to one of two causes, neither of which are FP2000 - Cause 1, the CGI for the advertising banner frogs up and doesn't let the rest of the page load. We have NO control over this, as this is added to our page designs after we upload them. Cause 2, for some reason, on slow connections, the Keen servers sometimes only throw down half the .html file, and then time out. Again, not something we can control. In both cases, a page reload will usually take care of this.Anyway, that's the deal. I don't plan on abandoning FP2000 anytime soon, but I will keep an eye on the finished HTML tags, to make sure that our pages remain cross-browser compatible.------------------

It happens with all Keen* comics once in a while, but it's most often with Jackie's Fridge. Is this a bug in Netscape? FP2000 is a tool of Satan and vi is just plain rude. I like TextPad (and I can put up with a nag screen every 5 or saves so I can use it for free). WYSIWYG is for wimps.
