Okay, so basically I'm trying to get a headstart on the Halloween season by getting this event ready now. And by now I mean right now. Here's what the special's gonna be: A bunch of characters go to a halloween bash, party, rave, concert, or whatever the hell else gathers a lot of people together. Somehow, this gathering of people manages to summon several very nasty demons, who in turn attract the attention of a group of demon hunters who were conveniently nearby and have to stop the whole thing.

Now here's where you come in. Aside from the fact that everyone will be drawing this comic together (I draw one, Artist A draws one, Artist B draws one, Artist C, D, E, etc.) and that any character from your comic can be featured in the story, I am REQUIRING that all participants enter a design for either a demon or a demon hunter. That's right, the team of demons and the hunters will all have to be original characters. I'll need a finalized picture, a brief character description, and a list of powers/abilities. And just so you know, I've already got dibs on the guy with the trenchcoat and bigass hair.

Any questions? The deadline is September 15, and I'll see if I can get this thing to run through half of October.

Wow, this sounds like a great idea. Just one question, do people submit their demon/hunter pictures before they submit the part of the comic they draw, or is it done at the same time? I would guess before, so they can be used by anyone during the comic. Just curious.

I would like to participate, but I can't be too sure right now although I don't think I'll have any problem working on it. Thanks for getting this out in the meantime!

Oh, and I'm trying to get ourselves a keenime site off of keenspace, and if so, you can host the event there.

WOW! To show my extreme enthusiasm for this event I already came up with a design for that demon hunter thingy that is required for this event (I'm aware it's still really early, but I was really hyped up for this event). Check it out below, yo!

In response to Shane B's request, the edited equipment list (without the annoying Diablo II stats)

Blessed Glove of Joshua: It hurts demons more than usual when she punches them in the face ... or anywhere else for that matter.
Baptized Coat of Stephen: It is unharmed by physical attacks from demons (so no ripping her clothes off to see her jugs. ).
Purified Shoulderpad of Gideon: Any demon who foolishly hits it is hurt badly. With the searing and the pain and the owies.
Blessed Headband of Malcolm: Helps her identitfy demons.
Sealed Emblem of Jason: The emblem gives her a slight boost in regenerating wounds so she can last longer against demons.

he's quiet, and kind of a loaner, the kind that prefers books to people. he can also be downright spacey at times.
his family is japaneese, but he spent most of his childhood in england studying magic. once, he made a little mistake while working with a forbiden sumoning spell. the results wrer not pretty and he has yet to forgive himself.
when he was fifteen, his parents were killed by demons. from there he was recrited as a demon hunter
he's very skilled in all schools of magic, but he most often uses wards (magic cards) he has some vague skills in swordsmanship also

props: spell cards, Sieben, a heirloom sword, he dosen't use it very often, but he always has it with him (like Carrot Glace^_^)

Well because I think my event is going belly up and it hasn't even started yet, I might as well join in on yours Shane B. I'll be thinking of a demon and demon hunter real soon. I might just use a character that I might put in my comic. I have yet to think of the details, but it will be comming real soon. And unfortunately, I have no site to put the picture of him on. so I'll draw it and think of how to post him here. I might just make a site on yahoo to be able to put pictures here. So um yeah expect something from me in the future for this event. Okay then whatever.

Just so you'll know, I'll be throwing in the demons from my own comic (both of 'em), but don't expect either one to take part in much of the fighting.

I have a little faith in mine, its just that I guess not many are interested. So I'm going to have to keep bumping it up so it stays on the first page for people to see. Not a lot of people go to the other pages. And I've got a page on GeoCities now that sucks. I'm just going to use it to put pictures here. Name: Damien Vanquestos(may change last name)
Age: 13
Weapons: a sword that he recieves from his family that was passed down from generation to generation called Heaven's Wrath.

Although very young for a demon hunter, he wasn't always so. He was percieved as a mortal by all. But when he saw Andrew Waves(character in my comic) use magic, he wanted to learn. So Andrew tried to teach him. When Damien just wasn't getting it, Andrew got his friend Brian(another character in my comic) to look up Damien's background. When he did, he was very surprised. Damien was decended of a family of demon hunters that had, a long time ago, given up their powers as demon hunters. Now Damien wishes to continue the long lost prestige of his family by becoming a demon hunter in training. Although he has never used powers in his life, he seems very adept at them. Plus he has managed to kill a few demons of varried power.

Wow, I didn't expect so much enthusiasm for a Halloween event in the middle of January. Anyway, aside from saying that if there are more hunters than demons, then we'll have to kill off a lot of them. Also, could everyone tone down the "makes them resistant to demons" stuff. I know it seems like the logical thing for a demon hunter to carry, but it gives them an unfair advantage. But what I really came here to say was that if anybody wants to send me a character design through e-mail, then you'll have to send it to the_only_great_cthulhu@yahoo.com instead of shane_b_w@yahoo.com for the simple reason that I don't check my shane_b e-mail address.

Argh... finally finalized my characters for this event... And now have to make a comic after them.. because their personalities are GREAT! I'll post them up somehow later... Somehow... But for now, here's the stats on them (and yes, I read the posteses... No anti-demon stuff.)

Rocky-
Age - around 20
weapons- A big sword. Basically a big bastard sword, unenchanted.
Info - Rocky is a bumbling idiot on a quest to find the best beer in the world. Innocently stupid, he met up with Sparxx, a little robot from the future, who's trying to get back home. The two are sent on a quest by an incompetent wizard, with the reward being their heart's desires. Is too stupid to understand the customs of his time, so usually just ends up stupidly breaking things.

Sparxx-
Age - does it matter?
weapons - Anything that shoots, as well as a badass swiss army knife function.
Info - A little robot from the future. Noticing his small stature, he makes up for it with snide comments and a big mouth. Quite witty and easily irritable, this little 'droid met up with Rocky and only stays with him for the quest benefits and the amusements of Rocky's bumbling idiocy. Still doesn't understand the customs of the time-frame he's in, so usually just ends up blowing things up.

Mind you, the two may be an unlikely duo, but they're stuck together.
