It is only the second piece of color work I have done related to The Adventures of Milea, OR Starship Moonhawk, so I am quite proud of it. I hope that in the future I can do more color work. (I'm thinking about a possible second pice for FCW2003... just a matter of time management.) I look forward to perusing the collection when it is posted!

It's only your second? Wow, well keep it up. Your coloring is great, and you definitely should do more. No pressure though, but you're always welcome to submit more than one.

Head up folks, this is Admiral Gilliad Cobalt; we met at 2002 comic-con and rocked the keenspace booth *^^*. Go check out his comics at
http://milea.keenspace.com (some mature) and http://www.starshipmoonhawk.com, now!

Oh, and I've gotten great great pictures from everyone for this event, and it looks like everyone put their time into it. Deepest thanks. THe page will be up in short time.

Thanks
Bryan

For the 1k thing, my picture editing program has a little box that says how big the picture is. It says 1k. But then you check it outside of it and it is too big.

Yay! I just drew a new picture and after fooling around with it, I got it to a sendable size I think. It has to be resized, but it's okay. It's saved as a GIF file. I only hope it works. All the other times with a different picture, it came back to me.

One of these days...

Postby Admiral Gilliad Cobalt on Fri Dec 13, 2002 11:32 pm

I keep saying I'll do more color work. I sometimes wonder if it is a time management thing. Oh well. On that note, TECHNICALLY I do all of my work in color first, but convert it to B/W to make it look cleaner (plus, B/W files are usually a little smaller.) I'll post some links to some of my "unpolished" work as examples. I use old school B/W tricks such as using oposite colors to get the shade I want. (e.g. green for red. For Star Trek fans out there, think back to the ORIGINAL pilot, The Cage. In the colorized version, Number One [played by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry] had green fingernails, and I *think* green lipstick, too. been a while. But, on the B/W reels, you could have SWORN she was wearing red since you didn't know.) In 1930's films, they would use orange makeup to avoid people looking like they were too pale under the bright stage lights. Anyway, that's it for the art lesson... Go see Star Trek: Nemesis NOW! I saw it twice today! It rocks!
