Well, theoretically no. I would think it'd be weird if someone sent me like two hundred of them. It's nice you asked though. I think you wanted to do 5 right? 5 is fine with me. Just remember that we do prefer a few images that show some time were put into them than a lot of images which were sketched out in a minute.

You should know from my past posts that I don't have a site yet. But can I still join in? I just got a good idea, but I don't know if I can draw it right. Any way, can I still particiapate? I really do like anime/manga. And if I can, I have to save and send picture files as .ppd because of the program I have. I hope this does not cause any problems for you.

StarWarrior, if you are having problems converting image formats (sounds like you have Adobe Photoshop elements or something) then here are some image file format converting software links. You can always save an image as a bmp and use one of these utilities to convert it to a jpeg. Or, sent it to me (megami_yanagi@hotmail.com) and I will convert it for you and send it back, as I have the ability to do this. Here are the links if you wanna try these, but don't hesitate to ask me to do it for you! ^_- (Just as a subject line, put "Please convert these pics for FCW2002!" or something similar so my junk mail folder doesn't eat it. ^^;;;) Now, for the downloads:

thanks. i took note of your e-mail address. dont take this the wrong way, but could you just tell me how to convert it without downloading any software? and i was wondering if when i get my site, could you make some banners for me? if you could that would be great. you don't have to. i know you have better things to do with your life. again thank you

Unfortunately, there is no way to convert an image like that except to force the image to open in internet explorer (by right clicking on the file and selecting "Open with" and then picking "internet explorer" on the menu that appears) and even then, you'll only get it to save as a bmp or maybe a gif, not as a jpg. Like I said, you can send it to me, and I'll convert it for you, but I highly recommend the EZ Pix program from my last post. And of course, I'd be happy to make banners for you (with the proper accreditations, perhaps a link on the links page or something like that? ^_-) just send me the images and how you want them to go. ^_^

Okay, umm I'll have to see about the software. I share my computer with others, and they don't exactly want me downloading too much. As it is, I have a lot on it. So okay I'll probably send it to you, but it will probably be too big to send. Because I may work on one or two pictures for the FCW 2002. But I don't want to bother you constantly for the sake of my comic. And I would be glad to have a link to your site. I read last saturday's comic, and kind of liked it. I'll send pictures for the banners or you can look at my comic when its up and see what you can use. I'll also put up some are stuff too that you can use if you like.

Sure, no biggie. You can still participate. I never heard of the "ppd" format, and if you can in anyway change it to some other format, that would be great. I am not sure whether I'll be able to use this format you have. But let me know and maybe we can work some things out.

Okay, I scanned in the picture, changed the format to GIF, and even cut off a whole lot. But I can not get the stupid picture to 400k! I'm trying to send it currently, but it also takes forever! Grrrrrrr! Any tips on how to reduce file size? But besides that, how do you put up any of the banners for the FCW? I am a very clueless person when it comes to website working, because I don't have one yet and the ones I did have were, well, let's just say they weren't the greatest. And that was before I wanted to do comics too.

You may be able to reduce the size of the file by reducing the number of colors used for the GIF formate (i think standard is 256 colors). This may reduce the quality of the image, so you may want to try JPEG also, at a high compression rate. That may also reduce the memory size of the file (again, the quality of the image also).

I'll provide some information on how to put up banners soon, once I figure out where to link them too. So keep posted for info on this forum
